nWo 4 Life
nWo 4 lifE
The Words nWo for life have never meant so much. I havent written in this column for many months. I didn't feel the need to. As a matter of fact, the last time I wrote this column was when Hulk Hogan "retired" in November. I didn't feel it appropriate to write a column about wrestling when we lost such an important figure. But Hulk Hogan is back. The Outsiders are back. The nWo is back. Wrestling is back. Lets hope Eric Bischoff stays nWo and I think he will. Then all we need is the Hitman and that's the nWo we used to know. Goodbye, Sting. See ya, Macho Man. You are not nWo material. You are LOSERS… Oh, another thing: Ric Flair as WCW President. What a laugh. He is a joke. He makes a fool out of himself, flipping around the ring and working himself out until he has a heart attack. What a major dumbass. And whatever MARK thinks that Eric Bischoff really gave Flair WCW for 90 days is a big, major total DUMB SUNNOFABITCH. Eric is in controll. Now, about that hair… In closing, I wanna say this: Nearly 3 years ago, a group was formed. It was called the nWo and it had 3 men:Hall, Nash and Hogan. It didn't seem like much of a threat, especially to actually take over WCW. There were larger grous around back then; the Horseman, The Dungeon Of Doom, Faces of Fear. Groups that had a lot of members. But WCW wasn't prepared for the onslaught of the nWo and soon the group grew. The Giant, DiBiase, Syxx, Bischoff and Macho all joined, along with Bagwell and Nortan and the rest. They attacked for no reason, spray-painted and did what they said they were gonna do. Their guerrilla style fighting eventually lead to them taking over WCW's main show: Nitro, and also getting their own show on Saturdays, not to mention their own Pay Per View. And, sometime in 1998, thanks to Randy Savage, the origional nWo ideas were lost. But, thank God, they were found again. Monday, January 4th, 1999. The now is back together. Let the punking begin.

Say it aint so...
Hollywood Hogan has officially retired from wrestling as we know it!!! And it angers me that a man that had made wrestling what it is, is going to apparently not ever be tributed by WCW. He needs one final interview...one last hoorah...one last time in the sun before he really is gone. The wrestling bussiness will never be the same. And I dont wanna here any more jokes on the guy. You CANT knock him. He is the man. And after all these years he gave to the wrestling bussiness, we, the fans, the promoters, the writers, we all owe Hollywood Hogan our gratitude. For putting us in our seats. For making us hate him, making us love him. And those who hate him, hey, at least he kept your interest. In wrestling, there are mid-carders and there are stars. And then there is Hulk Hogan. He has always outshined the rest. He is most definately NOT the best athlete that ever stepped in the ring. He is the most known, though. And he has represented the only two themes in wrestling: a bad guy, and a good guy. And no matter what anyone does, he was best of the best at both of them. And no matter who they get to replace him as the leader of the nWo, be it Big Poppa Pump, or Bret or even Eric Bischoff...no one will ever be any better than he was. He is a legend. He is a hero. He is a family man. Everyone else wants to be bigger than him. He is a 9 time heavyweight champion. People say Ric Flair is 13. Hogan is one of the biggest role models ever. So is Sting, you say. Well, everyone can be all the things they want to be. Hulk Hogan is Hulk Hogan. And I dont know anyone else who can say that.

"The Greatest Nitro in the history of the sport..."
A weird title, I know. But I am proposing on how that saying can actually be true for once. How the ratings would sky-rocket if just one certain, simple thing happened. If the nWo got back together.I know it may sound crazy from the fore-front, but, really, let me ask you long term WCW fans this: didnt you enjoy it when Kevin Nash was a bad guy, throwing coffey in people's faces, spouting out rude sayings and all in all being himself. He was more comfortable back then. Didnt you enjoy it when Scott Hall and Nash were together, their hillarious outsider stand-up and mimicking of wrestlers. And of course, Konnan could go back to the mean character and be himself also. Remember this date: December 22nd, 1997. The nWo invaded WCW Nitro and took over. And that night it wasnt about who was red, who was white, it wasnt about bout-it bout-it or the black and white express. It was about the nWo, and the nWo only. It was about being a part of the greatest angle in wrestling history. It was about being what the nWo orrigionally was: bad guys. Guys who loved to be bad. That was the nWo. And you cant tell me that that wasnt the best NITRO in its 3 year history. So lets have nWo Nitro, part 2. Well, we cant. Why not, you ask? Because their are two nWos, so you would have to make two seperate parts of the show. If Mr. Bischoff wants to know why he hasnt been doing the greatest in Ratings, its because when the nWo was orrigionally around, they WERE the ratings. And now that they've split, it is hard for just one faction to keep the origional ideas going. So have the nWo reform. How? You say that too much heat has happened since the nWo has split? Its easy, right under your noses. Have the Wolfpac, one day out of nowhere, turn on Sting and Luger and go back to Hollywood's nWo. As a plan from the beggining. Not only would the ratings sore, but, as the picture shows, we could hear some knock-out commentary from Nash, Eric and Rude like on the other nWo Nitro. And Nash could be himself. I know that the wolfpac fans would hate him for that, but at least he wouldnt be burdened into being a good guy, something he's not good at. We want more nWo Nitro's. And if Easy E ever sees this, I can only hope he does the right thing, like so many other things he has done perfectly.
nWo equals ratings. Not the wolfpac vs. Hollywood. The nWo. But untill that day comes, we hope that the ideas of the origional nWo arent forgotten. Hollywood continues to make them live, but how long before not even HE can keep them alive???

nWo Hollywood doomed???
This weeks confidential I am going to discuss what has been hapening in nWo Hollywood, the only true nWo. I watched Monday Nitro yesterday and saw what has been destined since the beggining. Scott Hall, as much as I like him, is an ungrateful son of a b*tch. He is an absolute jerk sometimes. Here you have the one and only, future President of the USA, Hollywood Hogan, and the one and only President of World Championship Wrestling, Eric Bischoff, give that guy his life back. They gave him financial support and I understand Eric was the one who suggested the rehab thing, while Vince McMahon would have fired him for missing so much. And Hall just desides to nail Eric Bischoff in the face. THAT is dissention. But I have seen this before, you know. When the nWo orrigionally split up, it was only one man that caused the whole thing. Macho Man Randy Savage. And once Hollywood got rid of him, things were fine between Hogan and almost all of the rest of the nWo. Now, I see that bad apple again, in the persona of Scott Hall. DAMN I wish Hall would get it together, because a thinking, clearheaded Hall is one of the greatest in the sport. And when hes a bad guy, he is much better. But then again, Kevin Nash, the only halfway cool member of the wolfpac, was much better as a bad guy, too. I saw a great and funny personality like Nash be turned into another monk and good guy, wich is what Nash isnt. And Hall definately isnt. If Hall goes wolfpac, I will most definately like him much less, if I like him at all. Now, I know, a lot of Hall fans would critisize me for not "being a loyal fan", which is what I have critisized so many fans for not being. But, I can assure you I am a very, very loyal and forgiving fan. Especcially of Hall's. Only I am a bigger and more loyal fan of nWo Hollywood itself. And if Hall turns on us, maybe he wasnt good enough to run with the big dogs anyways.
Now I will present to you, in no particular order, who is in the same sittuation as Hall. AKA who is definately not good at being a good guy.
Kevin Nash- Lets face it, the guy was a helluva lot better and funnier when he was the nWo bad boy. Now he is just another face in the big crowd of bad guys trying to be good guys. If he would just go back to the real nWo, he would gain all of the respect I once had for him. For now, though, he is a lost soul.
Bobby Heenan- I know what you're thinking. The Brain of wrestling isnt exactly a good guy. But he is not a bad guy. Sure, he's funny, but I mean, give me a break. The man was a genius as a bad guy with the Heenan Family throughout the 80s and early 90s. He needs to give it up and do what you know he wants to do. Join the nWo and become as one in the Hollywood family.

Scott Hall the next Brian Pillman???
This 'confidential' I would like to step away from jokes and comedy and on to a more serious note. I want to talk about the seriousness of Scott Hall's problem.
When I first heard that Brian Pillman died in his hotel room on that groggy Sunday night in September, the first thing I did was go into the bathroom to get sick. I was very cold and felt terrible for a week. Brian Pillman was one of my favorite wrestlers, and he was a unique individual I never got the chance to meet personally. I was appalled and bitter towards Vince McMahon for turning Brian's death into a ratings ploy. And for a few weeks after Brian's death, I was expecting to hear that psychotic music on every RAW IS WAR and see him coming out. But he never did. And I had to remind myself that he wouldnt be coming out any more. You see, much like Steve Austin and Bret Hart, I found it extremely hard to swallow, and it didnt seem to sink in for a few weeks. But one of the few things I dont blame McMahon for is going on with the wrestling action the following day of Brian's death. Because, like all bussinesses, and wrestling is one, you cannot move everything over for something even as extreme as that. And, I also believe, Brian would have wanted it that way. But that was then, and this is now. Brian Pillman is dead and gone forever. And no website tribute or memorial will bring him back. He is in the hearts of fans everywhere, and that is where he now lives. But again, he is not physically with us. That part is gone. And in the new angles at WCW, I am reminded of Brian when I see Scott Hall. He is a man with terrible personal problems and it is not to be taken lightly. But he does take them lightly. You can tell because his personal problems are used in an angle. And no, I do not blame WCW for Hall's personal problems. But I do blame them for making it loud and a joke for all fans to know. And I can only plead to Hall, if there is a slight chance that he ever reads this, stop wasting your life. You are going to die. You are going to be another Brian Pillman if you dont cut this out. I dont find it funny or entertaining. Nor do I like the way the commentators spoof around with this and make a joke out of it. Hall, seek proffessional help.
In closing, I will say that every time Hall comes out acting drunk and a mess, I am reminded of that cold September night when they announced that Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room. Only I picture it being current. I picture Eric Bischoff coming out to the ring at the beggining of NITRO. Much like McMahon did on RAW. I picture all of the WCW wrestlers standing next to the WCW logo, heads bowed, tears among them. Much like the WWF wrestlers did on RAW when Pillman did. And I'm reminded of the grim and sad expression on McMahon's face as he said "Lets all bow our heads for a moment of silence...for the late, Brian Pillman." And I can see Eric Bischoff saying that. Only he would be saying Scott Hall's name.

Wrestling Confidential for 10/13/98
That's ridiculous!!! Top Ten things in Wrestling that piss me off most.
10)-Ric Flair-Gimme a freakin break. For twenty-five years we have had to listen to his "Woo"s, yelling and jibberish that comes out between his dentures. Ric Flair is history. His feud with Eric Bischoff is un-opposing. He stands no chance. While Flair was "Wooing" away in 1997, who was making the choices of who Flair would wrestle???Eric Bischoff. And no matter how many fat kids Flair has that win some jabrone wrestling tournament---you have to go to work. Its the law Ric. I know you may not understand the way the law works because things have changed since 1651, but it is the law. Nuff said.
9)-Tony Schiavone-Is it me, or is this fat-head one of th worst commentators this DECADE!!! His jokes are lame and his insults to the brain arent halfway funny. He and Larry Zbyszko need to stock up on diet pills and retire.
8)-Tony Schiavone again-I'm sorry, he is just soooo bad, though.
7)-WCW Security-Do your damn JOB!!! When Eric tells you not to let Ric Flair's big head in the ring, he doesnt mean let him in the ring. You LISTEN to your boss, Doug Dellinger, I dont care how good of friends you are with White Hair.
6)-Jabrone vs Jabrone matches-Do we really give two rat tirds about who wins between Norman Smiley and Jerry Flynn? No, we dont. I wonder if the broadcast team can hear the boring chant through those headsets.
5)Ignoring wrestlers' pasts.-Hollywood Hogan and Bret Hart have teamed up 4 times, and before each on of them I heard this from the announcers:"Bret and Hollywood Hogan, a team for the FIRST TIME EVER, right here tonight!" Get it together.
4)Cheap THUNDER broadcasts-I just dont get it, one week THUNDER is better than NITRO, and the next you'd think you were watching WorldWide. You always have a main event like Chris Adams vs. Stevie Ray. Who REALLY cares about that?
3)Have I mentioned Tony Schiavone yet?
2)the Scott Hall angle-Is it me, or is everyone sick and tired of seeing one of the greatest wrestlers today being put in an angle that Lodi doesnt even deserve. Well, maybe.
1)Chucky on wrestling-AM I THE ONLY PERSON ALIVE THAT REALIZES CHUCKY ISNT REAL??? Ever heard of Brad Douriff? He does the voice. Other than that, Chucky is FAKE. Why was Rick Steiner yelling and challenging a DOLL to come out??? Why do the announcers reffer to Chucky as a him and not an it???You'd think at least Mike Tenay would know. FAKE. As in not real. As in cant hear you, cant harm you, cant FIGHT you. Chucky didnt make a startling appearance on NITRO. The actor and his puppeteirs did. Fake. Not real. Fake...

Why does the Wolfpac exist???
Far be it from me to rain on their parade, but, I ask you a question you should really think about. Why does the Wolfpac really exist. What are their TRUE motives? Flashback:in better days for the new world order, around July 1996, when they were first formed, they had one motive:to take over WCW and start their new tradition, to make fans forget about WCW, to turn it inside out. And that, I suppose, is when they were number 1, better than any other organization, even though they were essentially part of WCW. But now, nearly 3 years later, everything has changed. The nWo has split. And while nWo Hollywood still has the same objective; to take over WCW and be number one, what does the Wolfpac want to accomplish? They arent trying to destroy WCW, and they cant be number one. Why? Well, when Kevin Nash and Macho Man first said the nWo was going to split, and that everyone was going to stab Hollywood Hogan in the back. And while a select few did do that, most members were still loyal to Hollywood Hogan, so the Wolfpac is not big or strong enough to become number one, easily beaten out by the Black and White and WCW. So what does the Wolfpac want to do? Even their own members have way to many differences to really like each other. Flashback:1997. Sting was quiet and emotion-less, having the feeling of abandonment from WCW. And how many times was Sting beaten down by the nWo. More importantly: how many times did Kevin Nash and Konnan take parts in these beatings? Mostly all of them. Remember Nash beating Sting with the baseball bat and impersonating him? Remember Konnan putting a Sting mask on the face of DDP and stomping it to pieces? I do.
And now lets look at Lex Luger. How many times has he racked Nash? Remember that NITRO when Konnan turned his back on WCW and made his first target Lex Luger? Remember Lex said he despised the nWo as much as Sting did? Remember when, a while ago in 1996, when Luger was good friends with Eric Bischoff and was the first wrestler to come see if Eric was okay after Kevin Nash powerbombed him through a table? Or how about coming to the aid of the Giant so many times? And Sting, too, has had a friendship with the Giant and Eric Bischoff. When Scott Hall first showed up on NITRO and slapped the head-set off Bischoff and started pushing him around, asking him if he wanted a war, who came to Eric's rescue before Hall could harm him? Sting did. Who helped the Giant after all the nWo beatings? Sting did.
Now what about Randy Savage? He is a nut, and to be honest, nobody in the Wolfpac trusts him. Sting was beaten up by Savage even after Sting came to HELP him from Hogan and Ed Leslie at Uncensored 98. And Lex Luger had one of the most bitter feuds in a while with Savage. And Nash was the first person that Savage went after when the nWo orrigionally split. Nobody trusts Savage.
But then again, who in the Wolfpac can you trust? Nash? Konnan? Luger? None of them. The only true friendship that can exsit in the pac would be Sting and Luger.
In closing, I would like to say that the Wolfpac may be more likely to split than the origional nWo. And when Konnan says it is forever, he may be meaning for ever doomed.
