Merely functioning,
Waiting to love again.

So I put an end to reality,
And dreamed of dying in your arms
While you were sleeping.
I did not wake up,
Waiting for your eyes to open.

I watched you on the boat,
Scattering my ashes,
Wet with your tears,
Chilled you to the bone,
Waiting for the snow to fall.

There is no heaven.
There is no hell.
Only the endless space,
Which knows no time,
Waiting for the next life.

Now I search this netherworld,
Passing faces I've known,
Hoping beyond all hope,
Watching for only one,
Waiting to be with you again...
