April '99: have you heard it yet??? you know what i am talking about. the new song from BSB!!! guys, i *just* heard it, and i have to tell you, its rocks!!! KEVIN fans, you'll be estatic to know that he actually has a solo part!!!! the song rocks, and in more news, the new cd MILLENIUM is due out in may.
12th month of 98: wow...I'm sorry chickadees!!! I'm so behind!! Lets see what I can do to summarize the last month of events: The boys are being sued. Sad but true. I guess this is just another case to prove the "Mo Money, Mo Problems" point. Apparently, after one of theri concerts, one of the stagehands, was injured when a confetti cannon fell. We'll have to see what comes of that. Other news, concerning the next album. More and more of the songs on it, will be co-written by BSB. I for one cant wait to hear them. All hopes ( but no promises) for a sinlge release date of very posibley, January . ( woo-hoo not to long!) And the actual album maybe, posibly, hopefully, March-ish. And for those of you who completely skipped the Appearances page we made just for this occasion, keep an eye out for them New Year's eve. Both MTV and Dick Clark have staked a claim on them for the evening, along with other celebrities. Happy New Year!!!
*DOH!!* I almost forgot!! There is a new book out, written by Nick Carters mom, all about, well, Nick!!! I do believe it's called The Heart and Soul of Nick Carter. Love Nick lovers of the world are in seventh heaven!!
11/ and on some more:....ok, it has been confirmed yet again. Brian and AJ do indeed have girlfriends, while the rest do not. Wish 'em well! Other news, well, congrats my fellow fans!!!! We did it!!! BSB has just finished shooting with Oprah! Talk about a winner for November sweeps......
10/ and on....: well kiddies, the legal dispute with Louis Perlmen, and four of the boys ( which four is beyond me) has been settled , appartently, in the boys favor. to read more about this, I strongly recommend you hit the MTV website....addy you ask? www.MTV.com. Quelle Surprise!
9/24: guess what today was? it was the Much Music Awards.. ( a canadian kinda version of MTV for those who are clueless as I was) Our Boys were up for one award.. Best International Group..... there won hands down. Only two of the boys were there though... Howie and AJ... special note... Howie dedicated his award to his siser Caroline, who recently passed away from Lupus. The boys also presented an award.. but all in all.. the were on for less then five minutes.
9/23: In my morning paper, there was a brief article about our beloved boys. Appartently, 4 of the 5 ( sorry, dont know which ones) are suing Louis "Big Poppa" Pearlman and others of their management, for a larger share of the money they've made to date... estimated at about 200 million. The boys argue that they were not given accurate accountings of the earnings, and that managemnt took :excessive amounts" of money, while Pearlman points out that he was the one to pay for extra expenses such as voice lesons, private tutors, wardobe.etc. He also wants his 3 million dollar investment in the band back. It is stressed by Pearlman, that this is " an amicable situation."
9/15: Such sad news: It has just been annouced, on MTV, that Howie's sister, Caroline, has recently passed away. She died from complications of a disease she had called Lupus.. which is an auto-immune disease, which in many cases, can attack the major internal organs. The band was to perform, but they cancelled in light of this tradegy. They did, however, issue an apology to the disappointed fans, and promise to return and perform at a later date. Howie, himself is with family in South Carolina. We all wish him, and his loved ones our best wishes during this hard time. For those of you fans, who wish to show some support to Howie and family, I'm not sure at this time where you can send your thoughts to, but as soon as I know, I will post it.
Aj injured?again??
Sad, but true!!! And would you believe that he injured his foot again? Well, actually it wasnt exactly his foot, but some ligments in his leg. ( the first boo-boo was some years back while in Canada, their escape van ran over his foot while he tried to get away from the stampede) This time, he was performing, in Canada (hmmmm....) when the accident happened. He was taken to the hospital, where he stayed the night for observation, then released the next day with an ok from the doctors. However, he did miss a few shows. :(

nominees: Backstreet Boys, Prodigy. Janet Jackson, Madonna, and Will Smith....and the winner is.....Prodigy???? ummm, no comment on that one. Disappointment and disbelief are making me somewhat bitter. Is anyone else demanding a recount?
the performance: for those of you who did not get to see them tonite, I'm sorry!!! it was really good! They performed Backstreet's Back with a varity of dancers in masks. ( Aj fans... Aj is now sporting blue hair...all I can think of is hey! look!! tatoo smurf!!! it does look good though! ) there dance was high energy, very sexy, ...just all around great!!! i have to say....and maybe this is slighlty biased, but not much... they were the best performance by far!!!!

Ok....here is the real deal on AJ's girlfriend:he does have one, and her name is Amanda, not Marissa. ( Marissa is an ex of his) Amanda is 18, and part of the florida based group, Innosense. Clear everbody up now?
It is official: not all of the fab five are single. Brian is, in his words, "seeing someone" and so is AJ. This is definate...from their very own mouths. Now, there are a few things that I've heard here and there, that have some merit to it.... one is that AJ's girlfriends name is Marissa for those inquiring minds out there... and I guess she was one of the girls in the ASAYLM video. But, I'm hesitant to say, yeah, this is a definate, just because, well, one, I dont know them personally, so I'm not privvy to such details... and two, I have not heard it from an officials mouth , so.... maybe if somebody out there knows, you can enlighten me. The other interesting tidbit that I am not 100 percent on concerns Brian's girlfriend. I have heard many many people say it's that it's the gril from I'll Never Break Your Heart video. I know like half of the free world believes that it is her, and it may very well be, but I hate verifying a rumor when I have no place too. Also, many of you have seen rumors about Brian maybe , posibly be engaged.....well, for those of you didnt get a chance to see the Boys on the View, Brian flat out said he was not. I kinda wonder tho....... But to both guys, we wish them all the happiness in the world... even though we do this thru our tears and despair that we arent the lucky girls. And to the remaining three... happyiness is also wished to you in future relationships :)
Other news....CONGRATS TO NICK!!!!! Nick, while on the Regis and Kathy Lee Show, annouced that he has finally graduated!! Yippie!! (coincedently, so have I , for those of you who might actually care) Anyway, onto things that you 're interested in....Nick was 13 when he joined the group, thus mkaing it unable to attend the traditional highschool. He spoke of how he kinda wish he could of been about of that whole highschool scene..ie. being on a basketball team, going to prom, graduation ceremony...etc... but , he believes that his entry into the group was the right one, and one he could never regret ...and rightly so!! Can you imagine all the incredible things he has seen and done? What a thing to be proud of!!!! :)
