Polish Coffee Cake

• 3/4 C. Sugar
• 1/4 C. Shortening
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• 1/4 tsp. Salt
• 1 1/2 C. Flour
• 3 tsp. Baking Powder
• 1/2 C. Milk
• For Topping: 1 C. Brown Sugar
• 1 tsp. Cinnamon
• 2 Tbsp. Flour
• 2 Tbsp. Melted Butter

Combine Topping ingredients and set aside.

1. Combine sugar & shortening & mix till creamy.
2. Mix in all other ingredients.

   Note:Dough is rather sticky.

3. Grease an 8 inch round or square pan.
4. Put layer of dough in pan then layer of topping, then remaining dough & finish with topping.

   Note: Drop dough into pan by spoonfuls & smooth dough fairly even, but don't worry..when it all bakes together it evens itself out.

   You can also add nuts if you like (about 1/2 C.)

5. Bake in 375 degree oven for 35 minutes or till firm..

Personal Note: This is a good recipe, very easy & VERY delicious, and you don't need to be Polish to make it... Enjoy!!
