Hard Rock Candy

• 1 Cup Sugar
• 1/3 Cup Hot Water
• 1/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup
• 1/2 tsp. oil based liquid flavoring
• 1/2 tsp.food coloring

• On high heat, mix sugar, hot water & corn syrup in a pan.

• Stir till sugar dissolves.

• Continue cooking, without stirring till candy thermometer reads 300 degrees.

• Remove from heat. Let stand till bubbles disappear (2 min.)

• Add flavoring & coloring. Stir to blend.

• Pour into oiled molds or onto oiled cookie sheet.

• Let harden for 10 min.

• Remove from molds or break into pieces.

This candy is like "Jolly Rancher" candies only with out the wrappers. My favorite flavors are cinnamon, green apple, and lemon...but at your local craft store, they sell all kind of flavors...my daughter's favorite is watermelon..Enjoy!
