Runza

Ingredients

  1. Prepare bread dough

  2. Chop cabbage & onion & saute them in a skillet with a little oil until tender

  3. In another skillet, brown hamburger

  4. While the skillets are doing their thing, prepare the bread dough, by rolling it out to the size of runza you will want.

  5. Combine hamburger with cabbage/onion mixture, stir to mix thoroughly.

  6. Place about 3-4 Tblsp. of mixture in center of bread dough

  7. Fold sides of dough over mixture & seal edges

  8. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 15 minutes or till bread is golden brown..You can freeze runzas and reheat easily.

Variations:

In Nebraska, there are Runza Huts (fast food runzas) all over. When I moved to Arizona I really missed them, so came up with my own version. Everyone who has had mine, love them..hope you enjoy them too.
