Calliopeia's Profile

Hi! I'm Bobbi. Thank you for taking time to meet me.

I am a mother, friend, and teacher. I love my family above all else. My three beautiful daughters are Cami (28), Debbi (25), and Crista (21). My two handsome sons are Danny (27) and Seth (15). I also have a darling little pomeranin, Higgins, that is also part of our famiy.

By profession, I am an English and drama teacher. I teach high school senior English and also one drama class, grades 9-12. In English, I teach British Literature, College Prep English, and English IV. With my drama students, I have produced Miracle Worker, Sound of Music, and Midsummer Night's Dream. I love my job and my students--they are the greatest!

I love to read, write, play piano, play word games, dance, travel, and swim. I enjoy meeting new people and spending time with my wonderful friends.

My favorite novel is Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter. I love the ambiguity of good and evil and the way Hawthorne reminds us how cruel and unfair we we can be when we cast judgement and that the judgement causes us to sink below whomever we are judging.

As for my writing, I write fiction, critical analysis and a little poetry. I have written several short stories and essays and am working on a novel.

Because of my love of reading and writing as well as my joy in meeting new people, I am hosting as SonneTCC for TalkCity in Literatzi, where exciting things are happening. I especially enjoy hosting in Literatzi during WordArt, where we have writing workshops, and during ImprovIt, where we have improvisational acting. If you would like to participate, you will find a schedule of events in the "Literatzi Home" link.

When off duty, I enjoy chatting as Calliopeia, Greek muse of epic poetry and eloquence. Kalliope is the original Greek spelling for this muse with Calliope being the most common spelling and Calliopeia a third variation. You can read more about the muses in the "Greek Muses" link.

In addition to chatting as Calliopeia, I offer an editing service which you can reach in the "Calliopeia's Editing" link. There you will find writing and literature resource links as well as an invitation to contact me.

Again, thank you for visiting.

Take Care. :-)
