Return to the Trenches is a new zine that we started in November of 1998 to cover worldwide political activism, campaigns, boycots, etc., while incorporating the worldwide anarchopunk movement/scenes into it as well. So far we have released one issue, which contains political prisoner information on Leonard Peltier, Chris Plummer, Fred Hampton Jr., and Mark Cookm, information on Premarin, the Zapatistas, Youth Action for Social Advancement, Anti-Ractist Action,a scene report on the Solidarity Summer Festival, and a Swallowing Shit interview. The zine is 32 half size pages and is currently out of print. Hopefully a second issue will happen in the future!
Issue #1 was layed out mostly using a computer and was then hand photocopied by us. We haven't really kept track as to how many copies we have sold of the zine so i'm not sure how many we have made, or will make for that matter. We are currently working on issue #2 of the zine which we're going to try and put out sometime in 2000. Starting with that issue we will start doing music and literature reviews and the zine will be printed on newsprint in press runs of at least 1,000 copies each.
