~~Mini-Vacation with Dad~~

"The greatest gift a father can give his children is to love their mother." I don't know where I heard this before, but I have NEVER forgotten how true it is. My dad always demonstrated that to the maximum, and I treasure having had him in my life for over 67 years. Including my only brother and sister-in-law, Warren and June, we weren't the only ones to call him "Dad." Many loving people did the same. I removed the music from this web page, but "Tiny Bubbles" was one of Dad's favorite songs. Dad's now in Heaven, but I really cherish sharing happy memories of Dad with all of you.

The pictures of Dad (below) have a description with them;
just hover your mouse pointer over the picture, and it should display it.

Bowing Man Dad Standing by His Unit at a Lincoln Motel Bowing Man
The picture above is Dad standing outside his unit of the motel where we stayed while we were visiting in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was lots of fun spending time with Dad in Lincoln in June of 2002.

Dad Knealing at Grandma's Grave
The above picture is one I will ALWAYS treasure. It's a picture of my loving Dad at his Mother's grave. In early June (2002), I spent a few weeks visiting Dad, and it was so good to be home with him, again. We took a 3-day mini-vacation to Nebraska, and we visited his sister and brother-in-law and their daugther and her family. It was so good to see all of them. We also stopped to pay respect at the cemetery where Dad's Mom and Dad were laid to rest. This picture reflects the kind of love that I have grown to treasure more and more every year of my life.

Piano Area of Dad's Living Room
Memories are something I really treasure, and the above picture shows the piano back home (at Dad's place where my brother Warren and I grew up). Many of the pictures are quite old, but the memories of them are treasured gifts. Mom and Dad's wedding picture, and another one of them reflects so much happiness. Mom and Dad are together in Heaven, now, but I still sense their loving smiles.

Heart
This page is dedicated to the loving memories of
My Treasured and Loving Dad!!

Dad smiled a lot. He was born on September 19, 1921 and went to Heaven on March 7, 2014. He enjoyed dancing and often attended out-of-town dances every week. Dad brought smiles to those who encountered his presence. Although he had prostate cancer for several decades, he was blessed with many miracles and great doctors at the Denver VA Hospital who helped him to live the quality of life he so much deserved. He and Mom were very happily married for over 52 years when God called Mom to Heaven. Mom showed all of us how to reach out to others, and Dad carried on her tradition so warmly. Dad was a Grandpa, a Great-Grandpa, and even a Great-Great-Grandpa to my brother Warren's family of generations. Family was always Dad's greatest joy. He never hesitated ordering a hamburger so that others could enjoy a steak. He would always say, "...but...that's all I really wanted."

When it comes to Dads: "Dad, you have always been ALL I ever really wanted in a Dad."

I love you

Rose My Mom And Dad in 1997 Rose
The above picture was taken in 1997 when Mom and Dad were dancing together. They created some of their own uniquely-styled dance maneuvers. It was so precious to watch them.

Bowing Man Dad Working Bowing Man
The picture above is Dad finishing up some work at home in Colorado in June of 2002. Dad was amazing at how he almost never complained and kept quite active.

I love my Dad, and I truly thank God for him and his love!!

With love to Dad,
from your older son,
Chase
