The eyes of God are painted as symbols of reproach and repression.
Men with various hats, the popes for instance, stand in HIS/HER place and
point their fingers at all it thinks we are doing wrong. Authentic, spontaneous,
acts of love that are imprisoned by the laws of tyranny become painful
expressions of emptiness. I think it all happened because we were convinced
that punishment is more effective than love, and so we recklessly repeat
this sad lesson over and over.
