This includes the double-tape set which accompanied the acclaimed Gareth Knight Tarot Course. The tapes consist of either lectures or pathworkings (guided meditations), or a mixture of both. They are from Gareth Knight's own archive and were not professionally recorded. We are currently working on some new titles, to be released in 2005. Side one contains an explanatory talk on the Grail Mysteries, followed by a meditation, The Spreading of the Blessing of the Holy Thorn, and a reading of a full ritual known as The Catechism of the Grail. Side one features a talk by Knight on methods of communication with the Masters underlying the Western Esoteric Tradition. He also describes how Dion Fortune originally contacted these Masters through trance mediumship. Side two gets down to practicalities with two pathworkings aimed at helping you to make contact with the Masters yourself. These tapes were originally produced to accompany the Gareth Knight Tarot Course, now published as The Magical World of the Tarot. They contain all the meditation material from the course/book in a ready-to-use format, along with some additional instruction to help you reach a deeper understanding of the tarot. The principle of the Gareth Knight method is to get you in contact with the spirit of the tarot and develop a deep intuitive understanding of the tarot archetypes, rather than just learning the 'meanings' of the cards parrot-fashion from a book. This is achieved through a series of meditation exercises. Tape One covers the first five lessons of the course and Tape Two covers the remaining four. The tapes can also be used as an independent self-instruction tarot course, either on their own or in conjunction with Gareth Knight's book The Magical World of the Tarot. Between 1969 and 1972, a mediator passed to Gareth Knight some communications from a figure called Phaidon, who announced himself as a contemporary of Socrates. His teachings were in a similar vein to Dion Fortune's Cosmic Doctrine and covered a wide range of subjects, including the Tree of Life, medieval crusaders, the Knights Templar, female Masters, the Aquarian age and planetary influences. There were also some teachings from other communicators, including Dion Fortune. These two tapes contain the transcripts from those sessions. Although some of the material appears in the closing chapters of Experience of the Inner Worlds and The Secret Tradition in Arthurian Legend, most of it remains unpublished. During the Second World War, Dion Fortune made her contribution to Britain's war effort on a magical level. Between 1939 and 1942 she sent weekly letters to members of her Society of the Inner Light, instructing them to meditate on a given subject at a given time. These meditations focused on national and racial archetypes with the intention of boosting the nation's morale and assisting regeneration. Later letters also included mediumistic communications received by Dion Fortune. On these three tapes, Gareth Knight presents an edited collection of the letters, together with his own commentary.
