When we reached Louisianna after taking our second bicycle excursion across the country we didn't know whether we should stay there, or whether we should come back until we happened to enter into a small gallery. On the wall was a quote from T. S. Elliot which made our decision for us.

We shall not cease from exploration; and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and to know the place for the first time.- "Little Gidding" T.S. Elliot

We used most of our remaining money to return home by Greyhound bus in December of 1986. From there, we lived in the attic of a friend's house, Jeannette, where I began a business drawing kids at high schools.
