After graduating from art school I tried my hand at peddling my art along an ocean beach.

First, I drew this self-portrait, enclosing it in a metal-edged frame. I even designed a transparent overlay which said , "Original Portraits"

I'd hike back and forth through the sand hoping someone would see it. Since I couldn't afford a business licence, I was afraid to sit in one spot for long; so, in the three weeks that I plied my trade, I sold 2 drawings...

So much for panhandling my artwork.
