Whenever it rained, we were often stuck in the
tent. This day was particularly windy and when I wasn't updating the journal,
we'd sometimes play gin rummy or scrabble to pass the time. On the right
is what is called a Rec-Pac. It was a hard plastic canoing pack that saved
our lives on many occasions. I had devised what I called the "Rec-Pac"
holder which allowed me to snap the pack onto the back of my bike. This
turned out to be a highly advantageous way of doing it as the pack was
completely waterproof.
