'94 Futera Goldmark Opals Subset

These Australian cards were released in 1994 by the now out-of-business Futera Company. It was part of a 220 card NBL set, and features the players for the Goldmark Opals (the Australian Women's National team). Members of this team, including Annie Burgess (La Fleur), Sandy Brondello, Michele Timms, Trish Fallon, Rachael Sporn and Michelle Brogan (Griffiths), would later become players in the WNBA. Two different versions of this set were printed, one in Australia and one in the United States. The U.S. set can be distinguished by a silver foil seal reading "World Export Edition" on the front of the card. The Australian version is pictured below.
