'98 Pinnacle WNBA Set
Just before the beginning of the second WNBA season, Pinnacle released it's second and final WNBA card set. The set was realeased just prior to Pinnacle Brands filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy. This set was similar to the first Pinnacle set ('97 Pinnacle Inside WNBA) in that it had a base common set, which had two parallel sets. Only this time, while the Court set stayed virtually the same, the Executive set was replaced by the Arena set. The Arena set looked almost identical to the Court set, with the addition of small holographic star-like shapes. There was also an addition of three new insert sets, the Coast to Coast, Number Ones, and Planet Pinnacle. All of which contained ten cards, one for each team, with the exception of the Number Ones set, in which the Mercury draft pick was left out for some unknown reason. Mistakes were very common in this set, and the overall quality of the cards left a lot to be desired.
