OK, this is my story. It really all began about a year ago. I was happily
walking back to my home by the river when a large shadow fell over me. Now
normally shadows don’t bother me but this one was all too familiar. It was a human.
My mother had recently been captured by humans so I didn't trust them. After
all, all they do is attack you then cram you into little things called Pokeballs. Not my
idea of a good time.
"Charmander Go!" the boy called out.
"Not good, not good at all,” I thought. Fire Pokemon are strong against plant
Pokemon, so I did what I always do. I ran. I might have escaped except I wasn't
looking where I was going when I hit that tree. Oh good going. Last thing I need is to
be weakened, especially by myself.
Seeing this opportunity, the boy told his Charmander to use ember. That really
hurt. As the world began to grow dim I saw that dreaded Red and white ball fly
towards me.
"Alright, I caught an Oddish!" I heard the boy yell.
Inside the ball the deprogramming began as I was forced to listen to why I had
to obey my trainer. Why I had to love my trainer. Many Pokemon are fooled by this.
Oh it's true that we can love our masters, but if they are inexperienced then a strong
or stubborn Pokemon will not listen.
I am not strong but I'm very stubborn. After the programming was done I
found the ball to be surpassingly roomy. There was plenty space, and even spare food
for when I was to be in here for a long time. But it was also very boring. I spent a
good long time in there, so much that I fell asleep. That's went it happened.
	"Oddish, go stun spore"
"Oddish!” I cried out. Once out of the ball the programming began to take
affect. I looked at my master and felt that I had to win for him. The enemy was a
Goldeen. This should be easy I thought we're on land there is no water for it to use to
attack.
Of course I was right. My stun spore worked, and then my tackle attack
followed by my wrap. Soon the Goldeen fainted.
"Good going Oddish!" the boy cried out to me.
It felt so good to hear him praise my fight. I asked him if I could stay out of
the ball, but he couldn't understand me yet. However, when he started to recall me he
saw me cringe at the site of the ball.
"Oddish do you want to stay out of you Pokeball?"
I looked at him in disbelief. I nodded so he knew I meant Yes.
	"OK, here. Enjoy!"
He threw a piece of candy my way, and it looked very good. I turned the label
over and it said "Rare Candy". “Yum,” I thought as I downed the piece. All a sudden
I felt a little stronger. Later I learned that not only is rare candy tasty but it also makes
a Pokemon grow a level.
I walked along side my master as he told how I was the first Pokemon he had
caught in the wild, and how proud he was of me. I tried to teach him how to
understand me and he learned at little of my language, but he still couldn't understand
everything I said.
After we left the forest we came to a city. Um, I think it was called Cerulean
City. First we went to the Pokemon Center where I met a nice lady named Nurse Joy.
She liked me, and said that her brother's first Pokemon was an Oddish. That made me
smile. I didn't like her Chancy though. It was to cheerful about everything, I mean this
thing would make a fuss over a caterpie. I don't like bugs, and that's odd for a plant
Pokemon.
After a good rest, my master took me to the gym. I had never been in a gym
match before, but after I saw my opponent I knew I could win.
"Goldeen, Go!" a pretty yellow haired girl called. She had two sisters standing
beside her cheering her on.
"A water Pokemon this should be easy." My master was confident and so was
I. I had already beaten a Goldeen today so I knew what to expect.
After the Gym leader handed my master a pretty water drop badge, he took
me back to the center. I wasn't too hurt, but that Goldeen had a mean horn. A few of
my leaves were broken. On the way back I began to feel funny. My skin began to
glow.
"Oddish what's wrong!" My master looked at me with tears in his eyes, then
he began to smile with tears flowing down his face. "Oddish your evolving!"
"WHAT!” I thought. Well, if it makes him happy I will. I gave up fighting the
process and when it was done I was larger and very powerful. Well I thought I was
anyway.
“Glllooomm,” I said. I was a gloom! In my old tribe anyone who reach this
state was looked up to and admired.
"Oh odd.. I mean Gloom, I'm so happy!"
Once we reached the center my master told Nurse Joy about what happened.
The next thing I knew I was off the floor and being held in a strong hug.
"Oh I'm so proud of you Gloom!"
Nurse Joy really cared about me. I was shocked that any human besides my
master would love me. Chancy even got excited and began to dance around. Maybe
the big pink egg wasn't so bad after all.
My master wanted to give me a rest, and after spending a day at the center we
headed out on our journey. After traveling though many different towns and forests
my master had captured many different Pokemon. He still lets me stay out of my
Pokeball, and his Charmander got jealous and demanded to be allowed out also. Now
my master uses Charmander, Vaporeon, Jigglypuff, Cubone, Beedrill and I.
I must tell ya that the Jigglypuff is not a fighter. She does help the master
sleep when he has nightmares though. The Cubone has a bad attitude, and I don't
know why the master keeps him. Vaporeon and I get along pretty good though.
Well the master says that we have to battle at the League now. I really don't
know what's going on but he seems excited. I'll tell you how it turns out later. Bye, till
later.
"Come on Gloom, we have a battle to win!"
	"Gloom!"
