“Quick Attack!” the trainer calls out, but Raikou nimbly sidesteps letting the smaller Pokemon zip by. Having seen the other electric Pokemon’s incredible speed, Ash calls out for Agility plus a handful of other attacks in hopes of overwhelming his adversary.
The small yellow Pokemon turns quickly around with a fast Thunderbolt which looks like it simply misses Raikou, because he moves so quickly. The little electric type follows up with another Quick Attack, jumps up with a Tackle, and crashes down again with Slam. However, it seems Adenyne’s Pokemon is always one step ahead as it moves easily out of the path of each strike.
As Ash’s Pokemon gets up from the Slam, the Team Rocket member says, “Tail Whip,” knocking their opponent forcefully away.
“Ah! Pikachu,” Ash almost yells. “Are you okay?”
The trainer’s Pokemon gets up like he had woken from a deep sleep with a determined, “Pi.”
“Perfect. And a Stomp,” Adenyne begins again.
“Look out! Try and get him unbalanced with a Tackle. It might slow him down!”
Pikachu jumps away as the legendary Pokemon thunders down. The moment his opponent touches the concrete, Ash’s Pokemon leaps back forward with his attack focusing his attention on Raikou’s right foreleg. The large electric type almost falls on its side before it digs its tail into the ground next to him, and pulls himself back up.
“Spark!”
“Thunderbolt!”
Looking angrily back, the legendary type lets out a round bolt of electricity towards the mouse Pokemon. Still making some distance from his last attack, Pikachu is stuck in the shoulder sending the Pokemon spinning. The second Ash’s Pokemon sees Raikou again, he shoots off his attack striking his target in the back. Afterwards, the two fighters stare each other down while their trainers decide what to do next.
“Quick Attack!” the trainer from Pallet shouts, and as his Pokemon zooms by his target just missing. Frustrated, Pikachu tries to catch his prey again, but this time it seems like Adenyne’s Pokemon has vanished.
“I can’t tell where he’s going to appear next,“ the little yellow Pokemon thinks to himself.
At the same time, the Team Rocket member calls out, “Wrap!”
The large electric type look as if he appears out of nowhere, trapping Ash’s Pokemon with its tail.
“Pikachu, No!” the black haired trainer yells.
Adenyne starts a devious laugh, with her Pokemon strangling the electric mouse. Just as Pikachu’s face starts to turn blue, a flaming red ball connects with Raikou’s tail exploding on impact. The legendary Pokemon howls out with pain and surprise when he lets Ash’s Pokemon loose.
The Pokemon and two trainers look to their left as a girls voice shouts, “So, you’ve come here to destroy our future?!” Nina stands firmly on the dock with an fuming scowl when she finishes, “Well, you’d better stand back, because we’re burning with rage!” At the same time, the trainer’s Pokemon bursts into the Shin-Katsumi transformation, and shoots forward.
“Mega Punch!” At the same time, Avery plunges its fist into Raikou’s face, but the next thing the Pokemon knows it has hit nothing but air.
“Head Butt!” Still wearing a surprised face, the Katsumi blocks as hard as it can as the electric type’s head crashes into its forepaws. Nina’s Pokemon then stumbles forward with Raikou disappearing again.
“Stomp!” The legendary Pokemon then sails towards the small feline as it dashes away from her opponent.
“Slash!” The white Pokemon comes at her target with an arching attack but is left cutting air once again. Avery feels her opponent nearby and tries a second Slash and cuts air again.
“Behind You! Lunar Crusher!”
Without even looking behind her, Nina’s Pokemon builds up a ball of burning red energy, throws her paw back, and shoots it off.
“Tail Whip!“ An explosion goes off where Raikou was, but the second Avery turns around to see, the electric type appears behind her with a whip.
Now sailing just above the concrete, the Katsumi concentrates on its aura and stops in midair. “Slash!” Hearing the attack, the feline darts forward barely missing the other Pokemon.
“Stomp and Tail Whip!”
Still traveling forward, Raikou appears above Nina’s Pokemon, and at the same time the Katsumi pushes as hard as it can to increase its speed. The large electric type hits the ground with a thud and shoot its tail forward to hit the escaping Pokemon. Avery pulls to its left with the barbed tail grazing her shoulder and takes off a few strands of fur.
“Dig!” Adenyne’s Pokemon drives its tail into the ground with the feline landing from its dash. The white Pokemon jumps straight up right after, as the tail comes crashing through the concrete beneath her.
“It’s tail has grounded it!” Nina yells. “Replicat!” Both tail and Katsumi close in on Raikou in a race to attack. The electric type’s tail returns just a moment quicker, and the Pokemon hurls it forward to meet his opponent.
The Tail Whip tears through a cloud of smoke with the blonde trainer calling out, “Lunar Crusher!”
The legendary type looks up in shock to see Avery floating above him with a red energy ball twice its size held above her. “Rowr!” the cat Pokemon cries as the energy wave rains down into an incredible explosion.
“Head Butt!”
With a content smirk, the feline hears something from behind and can barely turn around to see Adenyne’s Pokemon hitting her with its attack. Nina’s Pokemon lands a few yards in front of Ash who is trying to heal his Pikachu.
“Spark!” The attack shoots off as the feline hears the boom and sees Ash and Pikachu looking forward in fear. Avery gets up quickly puts one paw forward creating a red pentacle of energy in front of the three. The ball of electricity rams into the barrier and fizzles out when the energy shatters apart like glass.
The Pokemon and trainer look worriedly at the Pokemon who saved them as it faints to the concrete ground and looses it burning aura. Nina looks on in disbelief as she mutters, “Avery can’t stand up to him…”
Pikachu feels a second wind, and runs over to the fallen Katsumi with a worried, “Avery!“ The moment he gets to the halfway point, Raikou comes down on the smaller electric type with a severe Stomp, burying him in the concrete.
Ash gives out an alarmed, “Pikachu!” as the legendary Pokemon turns to the trainer and begins to walk towards him. Raikou gives out a triumphant roar when one of the rocks in the rubble begins to move. The electric mouse unearths itself while the black haired trainer asks, “Are you alright?”
The yellow Pokemon does not even respond to his trainer and thinks to himself, “No matter how much we throw at him…“ The small Pokemon then rebuilds his electric aura and darts off to meet his opponent again.
After missing the first attack, Ash yells out to his Pokemon, “Pikachu, he’s just too fast for you! Let him come to you!”
Ash’s Pokemon gives up his assault, while Adenyne calls out, “Stomp him, before he can get away!”
The electric mouse barely parries around the thundering Pokemon when his trainer tells him, “Yes, that’s it! Quick Attack, like before!” Pikachu rams into his enemy’s left foreleg, as Ash goes on, “His hind leg! Tackle!” The little yellow Pokemon zips under the now wobbling Raikou, and knocks out another leg. The smaller electric type appears from under the larger Pokemon as he hits the concrete with a thud.
“Raikou!” the Team Rocket member yells in anger as Ash calls to his Pokemon, “Thunderbolt!”
Before the legendary type can pick himself up, Pikachu blasts his target with the electric beam sending him skidding across the dock. With too much built up pressure, the attack explodes creating a great dust cloud. Panting for breath, the electric mouse’s eyes grow wider when Raikou’s tail whips through the dust, and he emerges with an angry howl.
“Why? Why won’t you stay down?“
“Tail Whip!” After the command, the larger electric type swings his tail around leaving Ash’s Pokemon to dodge left and right. “Head Butt!” Right after, the smaller Pokemon begins to sidestep, and Raikou starts to charge forward.
Only a couple of strides away, Ash shouts, “Double Team!”
The little yellow Pokemon splits into two selves and quickly run around their opponent, leaving the legendary type confused to which image he should attack.
“Zap Cannon!” the black haired trainer says triumphantly.
From behind Adenyne’s Pokemon, Pikachu jumps up and lets out a barrage of electric bolts square into the target’s back.
“Now, use your Thunder!” the trainer finishes, while the large yellow Pokemon cries out. Ash’s Pokemon lets out an enormous lightning bolt leaving the legendary type only to look on in fear. The largest explosion yet engulfs a large portion of the dock, and as the cloud of debris clears, Raikou lies lifeless on the concrete.
Pikachu walks over to the other Pokemon and shakes its shoulder as his trainer gleams, “Huh? Is that all? You were such a pushover!”
With a slowly recovering Avery, Nina then yells, “What are you doing!? Finish him off!”
The electric mouse looks to the other trainer and gives her a confident, “Pika.” Ash’s Pokemon starts to build an electric charge, and fires one final Thunderbolt while shouting, “Take this!“ The attack causes a lesser explosion, as Ash begins to laugh quietly in victory.
Then through the dust, Avery catches a glimpse of movement, when Ash suddenly stops laughing and mutters, “Wha-?”
All of a sudden, Adenyne’s Pokemon jumps out of the cloud leaving Pikachu only time to think, “No Way!“ The smaller electric type is hit by a Head Butt and thrown across the dock, landing motionless.
With the little energy it has recovered, Nina’s Pokemon starts to run and help her companion, but the legendary type swiftly hurdles towards the other Pokemon, landing just in front of it with its Stomp. The feline stops dead in its tracks, as her deep blue eyes stare defiantly into the burning red eyes of Raikou.
Before either Pokemon can make a move a resounding, “CHhuuuu!!” rings out across the docks, and both Pokemon throw away their game faces to look back in curiosity. Pikachu stands before them with a huge deep orange aura, shooting off strands of electricity which tear away at the concrete floor around him. The legendary type turns around, and roars out at the lesser electric type challenging him.
With periodic thunderclaps exploding around him, Pikachu says calmly, “You’ve gone way too far. I’m going to send you back to the rock you crawled out from under.”
After one final roar, Adenyne’s Pokemon races off towards his opponent, as the small electric type braces itself for the oncoming attack.
“Head Butt!” The large yellow Pokemon rams its forehead into the electric mouse’s forepaws causing him to skid back. “Tail Whip!” Without missing a beat, Raikou’s tail lashes around towards Ash’s Pokemon, but the electric type nimbly hops over it. The tail then rapidly changes direction and strikes Pikachu in the face.
Ash’s Pokemon reels from the hit for a moment, then smiles back at his opponent while telling him, “Hey, that last hit was pretty pathetic.“
The legendary type howls in anger with the electric mouse stepping casually back and commenting, “C’mon! Don’t stop now. Show me what you’ve got!”
Raikou growls even harder in anger as Ash shouts, “Pikachu, don’t get too confident! Hit him when he’s concentrated on his next attack!”
Without waiting for a command from his trainer, the larger electric type sprints forward with another Head Butt, but Ash’s Pokemon is ready for the attack and moves to one side to avoid it.
“Electric Punch!” the young trainer calls out, with the electric mouse perfectly facing Raikou’s side.
With a thunderous, “CHU!!” Pikachu leaps forward with an electrified punch, plunging the attack deep into the legendary type’s side. Adenyne’s Pokemon gives out one final piercing roar before it is flung across the docks by the strike.
After a heavy whud, Raikou rolls across the pavement once and comes to a stop, finally fainted. Bruised and bloodied, Pikachu stands on the concrete with a content smile as the ocean wind blows across his face.
Now in Nina’s arms, Avery has a relieved grin as she says, “He did it.”
