June 2nd 2003 - - Jewel's fourth album is released in the UK today. The record has been produced by Shakira collaborator Lester Mendez and is said to contain hip-hop beats and dance rhythms - quite a departure from Jewel's previous works!
May 19th 2003 - - Intuition, the first single from Jewel's as-yet untitled album is released in the UK today.
July 2002 - - According to an article printed in the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday 12th July, Jewel is currently producing a new movie called Wave. Jewel will also have a small role in the film. Details are sketchy at the moment and nothing has been confirmed by Jewelink. More news will be posted here as soon as I find out more.
March 2002 - - Jewel's second single from This Way is released today. A radio remix of the track Break Me will be available backed with a live acoustic version of The New Wild West from her US tour in 2001. The remix is a markable improvement on the album version and contains extra electric guitar sections. However, due to the lack of promotion from Jewel's label Eastwest, this release looks as if it will follow in the footsteps of Standing Still and not enter the Top 40.
May 2002 - Following the hugely successful sell-out promotional concert at the Royal Festival Hall, London on February 26th, Jewel has just announced a full UK tour for May.

Tickets are still available for all gigs and as of March 1st, I believe fairly decent stalls seats are available for all venues. London is selling fast so don't delay. Contact the venue direct or ticketmaster.co.uk for tickets. There are still more dates to be confirmed and as more news comes in, I'll inform you in due course. It's likely Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland dates will be announced. I will be at the Manchester gig, front row and am toying with the idea of running up to Scotland if a date IS announced there. That would mean three Jewel concerts in 3 months for me!
March 2002 - Jewel's first single from This Way still hasn't been released in the UK yet. Standing Still is currently scheduled for release on the 11th March. In the meantime, keep on requesting the song on Radio 2 and encourage your local radio stations to add the song to their playlists. The video to accompany the single is also available for you to request on MTV and VH1 so get calling, e-mailing and texting!
February 2002 - Jewel's latest album, This Way was released on the 25th February and is widely available. (Unusually for a Jewel album even Woolworths are carrying stocks of it.) Please buy this album and help get Jewel in to the Top 40. It has already been named Radio 2's Album Of The Week so what are you waiting for?
