As the title suggests the young scientists are in fact very old, but then their maturity level is probably still that of when they were nine, so it all works out. The club was probably named when they were nine also, because from the numerous flashbacks it is apperant that they have always been dreaming up fantastic inventions to go where no man has gone before. Of course it is a woman who turns these dreams into a reality, namely Docter Lindoverburg's daughter Windy. Through her genious mind they even manage to get to Mars, where acording to our Tsuruta sources their flag can still be seen flapping there tody in the martian breeze where it was planted in 1953.
