Produced by Gabriel Vargas and eight years before LINDA, 
this issue becomes the very first color photo-comic. 

HOMBRES INTREPIDOS 1 (Abr)
Introducing El Hombre Mosca, Mexican superhero inspired by 
THE FLY, appeared a few months before in the USA.

AMORES JUVENILES 1 (Sep)
Juvenile photo-novel, published by Ediciones Latinoamericanas.

EL GAVILAN 1 (Sep)
Originally appeared in HOMBRES INTREPIDOS No.2, this title becomes 
the second Mexican-produced comic book by Editora Sol.

Same as TAWA, both titles above left publisher CEM and joins EDAR.

Beginning as a support strip for the comic book LA PANDILLA,
this series, by Araiza gets his own weekly title.

MEMIN PINGUIN  1 (Feb)
A new era begins for the continuing adventures of Memín and his friends,
this time with art by Sixto Valencia, whose charcters was based upon those 
desiged by Alberto Cabrera twenty years earlier, in PEPIN.

RELAMPAGO  1 (Jul)
Both above from La Prensa, these comics drawn by Ramón Alonso Fernández, 
were publisher's only effort to create superhero comics.

Character look-like Marvel's Daredevil, two years before the appearence 
in Mexico of DIABOLICO (Daredevil translated into spanish)

Having little success with his Editorial Capricornio, José Suárez Lozano 
suggest to EDAR the idea of the MINI comic format, becoming the biggest 
successof the second half of thedacede and almost all of the next.

SATANIC  1 (Ene)
With a similar origin than  Batman's and with a name resembling Daredevil's,
this photo-comic lasted only a couple of issues.

TESORO DE CUENTOS CLASICOS  103 (Mar)
Adapted from the French novel, this issue re-introduces FANTOMAS to comics, 
this time with art by Rubén Lara.

MINI LIBROS  1 (May)
Editormex publishes the first swipe of the EDAR's "MINI" format

MINI POLICIACA  1 (Jul)
EDAR's second "MINI" title.

CARLOS LACROÁ  1 (Jul)
Art by Casillas and stories by Carlos del Prado, the same who did the 
scripts for the radio show of same name.

MONJE MISTICO  1 (Jul)
Swipe of El Monje Loco, by Ortega Flores:  "Nadie conoce...nadie supone..."

The Count Vampire gets his own title.

MONJE LOCO  1 (Jul)
Editorial Continente publishes a few issues of this title,
then the owner of the rights decided to publish the magazine
himself.

CUENTOS DE DALIA NEGRA  1 (Oct)
Remembering his years at La Prensa, when the company 
published "La Dalia Negra", Angel Mora publishes this comic 
book, with art by several good artist of the time.

MONJE LOCO  1 (Dic)
Now with stories by Salvador Carrasco, -the voice of El Monje
in the radio show- Rubén Lara y Carlos Moro did the art of this 
new series, lasting 176 issues.

BURRERIAS  1 (Dic)
Along with Brujerías , this title becomes EDITORMEX's most 
successful titles.

AGUILA DESCALZA  1 (Feb)
Appearing Alfonso Arau as the main character of the series.

"Movidas y monigotes a la psicodélica manera de Araiza".

HERMELINDA LINDA  129 (Mar)
Forced by the Mexican Public Education Dept, EDITORMEX changes 
the title of Brujerías, because "real" witches and wizards began to
write letters to the company, asking for real spells and potions!
Also BURRERIAS became ANDANZAS DE ANICETO.

LINDA  96 (Abr)
Being a Photo-comic from the beginning, from this issue on, LINDA 
became a color photo-comic.

LOS AGACHADOS  3 (Oct)
Rius introduces new characters to this new comic book; The 
characters of Los Supermachos, Rius' former comic book, 
appeared in the first couple of issues.

LA GARRAPATA  1 (Nov)
Magazine of political satire and black humor. Quickly censored by the Mexican government.

FANTOMAS  1 (Ene)
After 36 appearances at TESORO DE CUENTOS CLASICOS, Fantomas finally gets his own title, lasting until the mid 80's.

MEMIN PINGUIN  264 (Mar)
Chispitas, character originally appeared in CHAMACO, reappears in this issue along with Memín.

EL VIEJO  1 (Abr)
Guillermo de la Parra creates this character based upon another one also created by himself: "El Tuerto",  originally appeared in CHAMACO.
