A Christian can call upon the Holy Spirit, to discern God's Word, and God's Word will impart wisdom and purpose, which means freedom from being aimlessly tossed to and fro, by life's constant storms.
God's Word reveals the reasons for all that has happened in the history of mankind, what is going to happen in the future, who is in control, and where we are going from here.
God's Word reflects all of the sciences; mathematics, physics, the earth sciences, political science, astronomy. astrology. In the ancient manuscripts, the placement of each and every letter and word, sound, number, person's name, name of a place, has a hidden meaning. One man couldn't live long enough, to decipher the whole of God's Word, but any man can come to understand the essence of God's overall plan.
God is supernatural, which only means that He is more natural, and because He created all things, He alone is qualified to instruct man about how to remain physically and mentally healthy, and how to live more peacefully and prosperously. He is our benevolent Father, and He understands all of our needs, our weaknesses and our emotions.
Did you ever notice how all of God's other creatures instinctively know what foods to eat, where they are to dwell, how to birth and nurture their young, their distinctive roles in nature; and yet man, the creature made in the image and likeness of Almighty God, and with the most intelligence, is in many ways clueless, as to natural laws? Did you ever stop to think about why that is?
The answer is simple; without God's guidance, man in his present form on the earth, is not equipped. Man can only use a very small portion of his brain, on this plane of existence. There is an ancient knowledge that is missing. That knowledge can be learned from within the pages of God's Word, the Holy Bible.
God never intended, that man be without His counsel, to be left alone to falter and flounder on the earth. That is why God gave mankind His Word, and His Holy Spirit.
Who better than God, our creator, to instruct us in the way to live? Certainly, it is quite evident, that mankind does a rather poor job of it, when left to his own devices.
Without God, man is utterly lost, and so knowing this, at the appointed time, God provided His one and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be born through woman, to be a living example of what man can become, and to be the righteous, willing sacrifice, for the redemption of all mankind. Jesus fulfilled His earthly mission, with all love, mercy, patience and dignity, and by so doing, demonstrated the faithfulness of God, toward mankind, and He continues to intercede on our behalf. For that awesome sacrifice, may God and Jesus Christ be forever praised.
All any man needs to do, in order to inherit all that God has, and to achieve eternal life with Him and with Jesus Christ in Heaven, is to accept that sacrifice.
Through His Word, God gives to each of
us, the
precise
amount of truth and light that, in His
wisdom, we
can handle. God has put the spirit of
slumber on
some, Romans
11:8 "According as it is
written, God
hath given them the spirit of slumber,
eyes that
they should not see, and ears that they
should not
hear; unto this day." for their own
protection.
A sin committed in ignorance, is no sin.
John 9:41 "Jesus said unto them,
If ye
were blind, ye should have no sin: but
now ye say,
We see; therefore your sin remaineth."
John 15:22 "If
I had not come and spoken unto them,
they had not
had sin: but now they have no cloke for
their sin."
The method of worship (dogma,
ceremonies, rituals) is not important,
but the spirit
in which
worship is offered is what will be
judged (Romans 14).
It is the inherent nature of each
individual that
will be
judged (Romans
2). God alone can exact
judgement; no
pope, cardinal, bishop, priest, pastor,
minister,
reverend, deacon, elder, rabbi, or any
man
shall judge.
God is mindful of the teachers and
preachers in certain
churches, that use His Word to judge,
accuse,
persecute or do harm to His sheep. Christ gave mankind two great
commandments; Matthew
22:37-40 "Jesus
said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is
the first and great commandment. And the
second [is]
like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as
thyself. On these two commandments hang
all the law
and the prophets."
Redemption through the blood of Jesus
Christ is for
everyone. Repentence is required, but
forgiveness
is a gift, through Jesus Christ's
sacrifice for sin,
and God's mercy and grace. Find a church that
teaches
God's Word in power, but with love and
truth. James 3:18 "And the fruit of
righteousness is sown in peace. . ."
All who, in their lifetime, did not come to know Jesus Christ, either because of their circumstances when they were in the world, false teaching, weakness of faith, or for any other reason, will be taught during the millennial reign; when all of the mysteries of the universe will be revealed.
Except for Satan, who has been sentenced
to death,
just as in the beginning, with Adam and
Eve, all
will have the opportunity to
freely decide,
if they will choose to live and
participate in the
Kingdom of God, not as subjects, but as
joint heirs,
or if they will choose to follow Satan.
I can't
imagine why anyone knowing the truth,
would choose
to follow Satan to their death, but
God's Word says
that many will.
Will you put your faith in God and Jesus Christ, and will you accept your inheritance, that is freely offered? God desires to give you, His child, all that He has.
Now there is you, and my dream has a
face,
And a name that echoes in my sleep;
Bringing peace to my nights.
Now there is you, and my heart has a
song,
And a voice that beckons to my soul;
Bringing music to my days.
If I can learn to sing my song for you;
The music will have no end.
