have you ever really seen me
as in taking a look on the inside
everything that i am all about
is not just what's found on the outside
it would only take a few moments
wouldn't be a very lengthy while
to see me for who i really am
just what it is that makes me smile
have you ever really listened
those times when i've spoken to you
if you only hear what you want to hear
then it's me that you never knew
have you ever really seen me
as in taking a look on the inside
