the beauty of my child
i sit here and remember back to a time
long ago, and yet not so long
when the mere presence of your face
brightened my world, set my heart aglow
the beauty of my child
i remember a time when you were troubled
seeking my comfort and advice
then no matter how bad the picture looked
mommy made all things nice
the beauty of my child
the time has passed and you have gone
now the memories are all i can see
no voices, laughter, tears, or troubles
just my mem'ries and me
the beauty of my child
.....all too soon life changes, and people come and go. but nothing replaces the beauty of my child.
