thoughts of you
the following is dedicated to my wonderful and loving husband, whom life
took from me much too soon.......
the warm sunlight comes filtering through the window
as i gently stir myself into wakefulness
as always, my first thoughts are of you
my gentle man, my most wonderful soulmate
the very person who answered all of my dreams
you made the stars shine even brighter
as i rode across the galaxy on those most glorious moonbeams
my dolphin blue, and i your doobers
those pet names we gave to each other
and when my soul began to catch on fire
you'd bring your love, the flames you would smother
your quest for knowledge, to always better yourself
to learn as much as there was to know
made we want to become a better person
from deep down inside, you taught me to grow
time is not the kindest of occurrences
for time took you too soon away
yet still i take you to bed each night
and in the morning, you begin my day
the memories i have will be mine forever
and nothing can ever take them away
for the very first time i felt what is true love
and with this feeling, is the way i shall stay
i thank the stars and heavens above,
but most of all, i thank you for you.
i will always love you, my sweet dolphin blue.....
