Jordan Page is a young poet, singer/songwriter, guitarist, political activist, and social commentator. His songs call attention to issues most people would choose to ignore because of their overwhelming nature. With western culture so bombarded and enveloped by mass media and entertainment, Page's solution is to use music to break through the apathy and isolation these influences cause.
Over the past year Jordan Page has been inspired to use his musical talents as a vehicle for social change and has been writing and releasing songs that draw attention to the corruption, suffering, and disillusionment present in our societies. Through these recordings he has become affiliated with a number of U.S. based advocacy groups including The Future of Music Coalition, the Free Press, Restore the Republic, and The Progressive, all outlets who are fighting for civil liberties and change in foreign policy.
The quality of the music and message in his songs has recently brought him a great deal of attention, having received worldwide play on XM Radio and other regional stations over the past year. As one of the only independent artists played in rotation through this media outlet, Jordan has begun developing a national and international following allowing him to spread his message to those who are unknowledgeable or too afraid to speak out themselves. He is performing tirelessly to promote a message of peace and awareness in uncertain times

"Liberty"
"Pendulum" is written and performed by Jordan Page. This video is produced by Bryan Siemon.
"Pendulum" Lyrics:
I been walking a tightrope between fact and fiction
I been wrestling with demons in small bottled prisons
I been talking with sinners who claim to be Christian
I been shouting at leaders who claim to be listening
& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
and momentum increases the need for the fight
Like a moment of blindness in a lifetime of sight
& I am caught somewhere in the middle
I saw a president blind to the needs of his people
I saw a camel that passed through the eye of a needle
I saw a group of old men whose money was evil
I saw a cross breaking free from the cage of a steeple
I saw beggars and cripples dying in squalor
I saw a son whose sins had exceeded his father
I saw a nation of sleepers whose dreams were forgotten
& a bushel of apples from a tree that was rotten
& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
as momentum increases the need for the fight
Like a blindfold when its time to walk towards the light
& I am lost somewhere in the middle
I heard the echo of suffering in the valley of laughter
I heard the rumble of earthquakes far under the water
I heard a court jester whose forked tongue was twisted
Who told us of dangers that never existed
I heard voices that claimed to be moral and righteous
Whose lies and deceit were all dark and contagious
I heard talk of a country that valued its freedom
But when I protested I was arrested and beaten
& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
As momentum increases the weight and the height
But if nobody's listening, is anyone right?
& I can't seem to find the key to the riddle
I met a young woman with a baby inside her
I looked but there wasn't a safe place to hide her
I met an old man with a face like a mirror
He showed me his sadness so I could see clearer
I met an arrogant leader who robs us and cheats us
He pretends that his orders come directly from Jesus
When he sends out our children to strange foreign soil
To kill for the right to monopolize oil
I'm a raising my voice 'gainst the house of derision
That murders our freedom with short-sighted vision
I'll sing a new song about civilization
& the palace of wisdom and the death of a nation
I'll lift up the veil that's hiding the holy
& remind all the people that change happens slowly
I'll scream out a name to the echoes of Heaven
& pray that the world don't end up where its heading
& the pendulum swings from the left to the right
as momentum decreases the end is in sight
There's a lunatic handling our future tonight
& I am lost somewhere in the middle

"Listen" Lyrics:
Listen to the sound that you hear
Like an echo in your head
There's a strange vibration rising
Out from the heart of America, America
Listen to the sound of the drum
Calling players to the game
Of the New World Order
Don't be caught unaware
When the heads start rolling
No, it couldn't happen here
I know it wouldn't happen here
I will not submit to authority of man
I'm alive I'm awake
This is more than I can take
If you had an open door
Would you kill a little more?
Listen to the cries of the dead
In the wake of the Sudan
Is there no one out there?
I see blood in the sands of despair in Africa
Listen to the sound of applause
In a chamber full of men
Selling out their people
As they plan their assault on the heart of America
No, it couldn't happen here
I know it wouldn't happen here
I will not submit to authority of man
I'm alive I'm awake
This is more than I can take
If you have an open door
Will you kill a little more?
There's a war machine in motion and the bullets fall as rain
& The light in the eyes of the innocent has faded into pain
Yesterday I knew the world was spinning toward the end Today I see the wasteland and its too late to pretend
"Listen to the words that you hear"
Said the Ghost of Vietnam
Through a veil of napalm
"Don't forget your mistakes and where you came from"
I will not submit to authority of man
I'm ready to die but not for a lie
See the signs appear
You know its gonna happen here
