Father's
Day

From the memories of the little girl I was
to the woman I am today
I dedicate this page
to all the Fathers I have known...

A little girl was asked to write a composition on 'people'. This is what she turned in to the teacher:

"People are boys and girls and men and women. Boys are no good at all until they grow up and get married. Boys are an awful brother. They want everything they see except soap! My ma is a woman and my pa is a man. A woman is a grown up girl with children. My pa is such a nice man that I think he must have been a girl when he was a little boy."

To my Father ~ the music man, the storyteller, the horticulturist, the carpenter...

We are all born for love.
It is the principle of existance, and its only end.
~ Disraeli

Teach us by your lives.~ Bonar

To my Husband ~ caring father, loving son, calm and patient,...

To my Sons ~ Fathers to the future, treasures of my youth,...

The great man is he
that does not lose his child's heart. - Mencius

I love little children, and it is not a slight thing when they, so fresh from God, love us. - Emily Dickinson

One of the illusions of life is that the present hour is not the critical, decisive hour. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year.~ Emerson
