Robert and his family arrived in New York State on July 13, 1843 from Liverpool, England. The ship was the "Siddon" and the Master of the ship was E.B. Coby from Liverpool, England. The "Siddon" was an 895 - registered ton square rigged ship that sailed as a packet ship between New York and Liverpool from 1837, when it was built. The shipping line was the Dramatic Line, with regular departures from New York on the 25th of the month and departures from Liverpool on the 12th. of the month. We believe the family originated from Wales.

Joseph Martin: He was born Aug.1844 in Steuben Co., New York. He died September 12, 1927 in Prarie Farm, Barron Co., WI. and is buried in the Clear Lake Cem., Clear Lake Polk, CO., WI.
