Life In A Hall(Dorm)
Are you trying to decided whether you should stay in a hall(dorm) or an apartment? Does the hall cost too much? Well, let me give you my ideas and thoughts about living in a hall. I highly recommend freshman to live in a hall for these reason:
- Your new to the campus, and need a starting point.
- Since you don't know too many people, this is a great place to meet people.
- You have tons of resources in your hall.
- If you need help with homework, someone in your hall could help you, most likely at no cost.
- You don't have to worry about cleaning, maybe just your room.
- It's cool, and lots of fun!
I didn't give you all the reason why you should stay in a hall your freshman year, but it has sure helped me establish friendships, and have gained new resources. Yeah, the rules may be there, but if you follow them, your fine. The rules aren't that bad. One of my friends lives off campus, and she told me "I come to school at 7:30 in the morning and don't leave until 8 or 9 at night. Even though I have an hour between classes, I just stay here, becuase by the time I get home, I have to turn-around and come right back!" This is very true. If you live off-campus, you will make a day out of school, whereas students that live on-campus, can get back to their room in minutes, relax for 40 minutes between classes, or eat. Live in a hall. Try it out. You won't regret it!Paying For The Halls
Make sure, once you get your acceptance from the school of your choice, you choose a hall to live in and mail back the request for a hall room. Halls fill up really fast!!!!
Good Luck!
