A BRIEF HISTORY OF U.O.B.
The history of U.O.B. (UnOriginal Bastards) started in 1996 when Nate, Wes, Nick were in 9th grade( well Wes was in 8th). Roman had nothing better to do so he would get drunk and get on stage a sing. Other than a couple of high school dances consisting of cover songs, not much happened with the band for its first three years. Jim and two other horn players were recruited in late 1997 for the second of the two dances, but things really didn't start to pick up until almost a year later. By that time Roman had been temporarily replaced by Dan and then Eric; Nick had moved and been replaced by Josh; and Nico joined. We also began to write our own songs and begin to map out a musical direction. But Eric and Nico were soon out and we were a five piece. With this line up we played our first show on October 9, 1998: a Kingman Aid to Abused People benifit show at Kingman High School with the Pharmaceutical Bandits and Holden Caulfield and Ill. Then Jim promptly left screaming, and bleeding profusely from the head and neck. After that ordeal Nick moved back and we began to play as we had in the past. We've had more gigs since then and many more to come. If your in the neighborhood sometime and you want to hear a kick ass band come check us out!
