MY VW BEETLE

BACK

RESTORATION PROCESS= Iam still in the process of restoring my 1974 volkswagen beetle.I bought it earlier in the summer of 98. I have stripped out the interior, and have rebuilt the 34-pict3 carb. I have most of the engine stripped out except for the actual engine(case, block, etc)I took out all the engine tin sandblasted it and repainted it with high temperature ceramic paint.I took out all of the following parts (manifold, alternator, muffler and valve covers, etc) all these parts were sandblasted and or painted. Next I find that my right rear brake cylinder is leaking, after struggling with the axle nut for a few weeks I finally got it off .I bought two new rear brake cylinders and a brake rebuild kit and installed them painting all surfaces so not to have them rust again. This is where Iam at so far.I will keep you updated on my progress.=D.Baugher MY BEETLE'S SPECIFICATIONS= Type1 1974 Volkswagen Beetle standard(not super)manual shift. Solex 34-pict3 carb.
