Lin Carter followed in Robert E. Howard's footsteps by making his barbarian hero the star of several exciting short stories. These stories appeared in several different places over the course of three years. They have never been collected into a single book. Carter's short stories were often his best work. Find them if you can.
I am indebted to Howard A. Jones and Morgan Holmes for this information.
Also, according to Morgan Holmes, "A real tragedy happened when L. Sprague de Camp got Carter to cowrite Conan stories in 1967 on. Carter had planned on two Thongor collections which would have been far superior to Conan pastiches. "The Thing in the Crypt", for example, was to be a Thongor story."
