Born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Catt has lived in New Jersey, New York, Florida, Delaware, Illinois, Texas and Arizona. A student of metaphysics and the paranormal since childhood, Catt has over 20 years experience as a writer, astrologer, and intuitive counselor. Self-employed since 1981, Catt has plied her writing trade in a variety of venues - newspapers, magazines, Web sites, and resume and business writing. She is currently pursuing two degrees, with an eye to completing her Ph.D. before she reaches retirement age, as well as developing her artistic talent in photography and acrylic painting. Catt is also an ordained minister and a certified hypnotherapist, specializing in past-life regression.

Although her primary interests lie in the exploration and practical application of spiritual principles in daily life, her writing has overed a wide variety of issues and topics, including archaeology, sustainable living, home and garden, lifestyles, and the environment. Catt and her life partner Rick (two dogs, seven cats, and two roommates) live in Davenport, Iowa, close to Catt's children and grandchildren. Catt has become an avid and successful organic gardener, is a volunteer with the American Red Cross, recently completed her associate degree with honors (4.0 GPA) at Scott Community College, where she served as president of the Scott Community College Environmental Club. She is currently attending St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, a few blocks from her century-old craftsman cottage.
