Included the following responsibilities:
Writing and editing 80 hours per month on contract, working on
various tasks as requested.
Production included editing existing materials; rewriting articles or
consumer information for size or presentation; writing original
profiles of farmer members of the coop for milk carton copy, website
copy, and newsletter inclusion; writing and editing articles for
RootStock, the company newsletter; researching and writing product
descriptions for website; conducting interviews in person and via
telephone; writing recipe descriptions; working as part of a larger
team in developing website architecture, flow and content; writing
educational copy and consumer information on organic foods,
farmers cooperatives, and the benefits of sustainable agriculture;
writing telephone scripts for "on-hold" recordings; developing and
creating puzzles for children for "Kid's Page" in newsletter and
website; researching and collating web links for various topics related
to organic farming and sustainable agriculture; writing educational
articles for kids about organic farming, vermiculture, sustainable
farming practices, humane animal treatment and related topics;
research complex agricultural issues for presentation to the consumer.
Position involves some regional travel.
My work with Organic Valley includes establishing and maintaining a
working communication with a variety of staffers and supporting
contract personnel in various locations.
Reports directly to Carrie Branovan, Creative Director.
