Arizona Trappers Association

ATA currently has classes that they do for trapper education it is a mandatory Trappers Education Course. We have 2 annual courses at the Gila County Fairgrounds in Globe, AZ.

One is in February at the fur sale and the other is in July at our convention. The dates vary each year although both months generally remains the same.

As well as one preseason at each Regional Game & Fish Office

In addition we have various other classes scheduled thru out the state.

It is mandatory to take this trapper education and with it you get a certification certificate from The Arizona Game and Fish Department. You need this certificate in order to purchase a trapping license in Arizona.

We will also give an individual class for even only one person if they contact our Chief Trapper Ed Instructor, or a local instructor in their area at any time during the year, if possible, with the exception it is not guaranteed during season. If you are interested in taking this course it is advisable to take it before the season. Please make arrangements to do so preseason.

Additional classes are available as needed if the demand is there.

It is recommended you take a scheduled class to be guaranteed to obtain your license immediately.
