The AQUALIGHT Lantern & Power Supply has one on-board 6 inch fluorescent lamp, and two accessory jacks. The jacks are only to be used in conjunction with genuine AQUALIGHT brand products.

START-UP

The AQUALIGHT Lantern & Power Supply is ready in a moments notice. Mix and pour the proper water & salt solution into the four power cells. Within seconds the power supply will be producing 4.8 volts of DC current to power its on-board fluorescent lamp or the accessory flashlight & strobelight.

MAINTENANCE

Normal maintenance during constant or long tem usage requires that the water and salt solution be changed and the cylinders cleaned every 6 to 8 hours of use. During short term or intermittent usage, the solution should be removed and the cylinders cleaned every 4 to 5 hours. The lantern will deliver up to 80 hours of fluorescent light before additional maintenance (other than normal) is required.

ENERGY RODS

Contained in each of the lantern’s four cylinders is a replaceable ENERGY ROD. The rods require replacement when they are no longer capable of producing sufficient current to power the lantern (normally 80 light hours). The replacement process is simple requiring less than 5 minutes. Frequent and thorough cleaning of the cylinders and energy rods will maximize the performance of the lantern and the life of the energy rods. To maintain the exterior surface of the lantern, wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt, grime and any salt residue that may have accumulated during operation.
