A.      NO WORSE REMARK BY JESUS VERY HARSH.

B.      NOT ONLY TRUE OF JUDAS, BUT MANY LIKE HIM.

I.      THE TRAITOR WHO SELLS HIM.

A.      A BETRAYER OF FRIENDS.  SECRETIVE, CONTEMPTIBLE.

B.      "EVERY MAN HAS A PRICE."è Not true of us ( Matt. 16:26 ).

C.      WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE?  PRIORITIES( 1 John 2:15 ).

D.      FOR WHAT IS JESUS TRADED TODAY?

II.     THE APOSTATE WHO RENOUNCES HIM.

A.      AN APOSTATE TOTALLY DESERTS THE FAITH.  A RENEGADE.

B.      NOT THOSE WHO OUT OF HUMAN WEAKNESS SIN OCCASIONALLY.

C.      AN ABOMINATION UNDER THE OLD LAW( Isa. 59:1-2;  Hosea 4:6-10 ).

D.      HARSH WORDS TO APOSTATES TODAY( Heb. 6:4-8; 10:26-31 ).

III.    THE INFIDEL WHO DENIES HIM.

A.      THE EVIL EFFECTS OF INFIDELITY DESCRIBED( Rom. 1:20-25 ).

B.      EVEN TODAY.  NO EXCUSE( Psa. 53:1;  Rom. 1:20 ).

IV.   THE HYPOCRITE WHO DISHONORS HIM.

A.      THE HYPOCRITES PLACE( Matt. 23:27-28 ).

B.      HIS EFFECT IS DISASTROUS( Rom. 2:17-24 ).

C.      WALK WORTHILY( Phil. 1:27; Eph. 4:1 ).

V.    THE PRESUMPTUOUS PERSON WHO CHANGES HIS LAW.

A.      PEOPLE LOVE NOVELTY, EVEN IF IT IS ERROR( Jer. 5:30-31; 2 Tim. 4:3-4 ).

          1.       Every wind( Eph. 4:14 ).

          2.       Self-justification.

          3.       Idea men( Col. 2:8; 1 Cor. 3:18 ).

B.      THE INNOVATOR CAN'T WORSHIP GOD( Mat. 15:7-9 ).

C.      ( Gal. 1:6-9; Rev. 22:18-19 ).

CONCLUSION:

A.      THE LESSON HAS BEEN PRESENTED IN LOVE.

B.      WE HOPE THAT NO ONE IS IN THE SAME CONDITION AS JUDAS.

C.      IF YOU HAVEN'T OBEYED THE LORD, IT IS BETTER THAT

          YOU HAD NEVER BEEN BORN( 2 Thess. 1:7-9 ).
