Golden rays upon my skin
With eyes closed I dream
A warm summer breeze
It's fingers ruffle my hair
A feeling of peace
Stars above twinkle
Silvery light shining down
A silent tear falls
Your heart swells with joy
The sight of him in the sun
Waiting to hold you
But love never lasts for long
It fades like an old picture
A pleasant smile
With a melancholy heart
And sorrowful eyes
At night the tears fall like rain
Alone in the midst of pain
My heart grows heavy
Each passing day a struggle
Freedom is my wish
Darkened sky above
The winds blow furiously
My tears like the rain
