The others wake up with Duende's panicked message ringing in their heads. Thoughout the castle cries of "Oh Crap!" and "A la Chingada!" can be heard as the drowsy heroes scramble to the front door.
Storming outside they see... nothing. "April Fools" Duende yelled out of the window of his third story bedroom.(Note: there are 10 floors in the Hall, one for each of the Nine and the ground floor with the kitchen and stuff) "Ha Ha Ha, you should see the way you guys look right now!"
"You cocksucker!" screamed Choni Susio. "April Fools Day was last week."
"Hey it's still April right? Thats all that matters," replied Duende.
"Ha Ha" laughed Huevos sarcasticly, and faster than fast ran into Duende's room and pushes him out of the window.
"AAaaaaaaa!!" screamed Duende as he plumited toward the ground. Suddenly Oso's large hand shot out and grabed Duende's leg, his face only inches from the ground. Then Oso droped him on his head. "April Fools ass," said Huevos who had already ran back down in less time than it took Duende to fall.
At Macho Mesa April Fools Day was stretched into April Fools Month. A month long prank war involving both Heroes and Chicas. Oso, whos body hair had still not grown back, replaced Caliente's shampoo with hair remover so Caliente now only has patches of hair covering his head and body. Sueltos and Huevos challenged Cerviche to a race around the island. While they were racing two Chicas took Cerviches body and flew to San Francisco. After making Cerviche spend a night without his body, during which he slept little and cried much, they went to get his body back.
When they got to the hotel room the Chicas were staying at they found them near death laying in bed. They had festering sores, that were leaking pus and blood, covered their bodies. Their skin was flaking away and their hair was falling out.
"Oh my god," choked Huevos before puking in a corner.
"Where's my body!" screamed Cerviche. "Where's my body!"
"It's in here," said Caliente coming out of the bathroom. "Sorry but I chunked it all over your shoes."
"Is it... like..." stammered Cerviche.
"It looks fine, other than the chunks of hotdog all over your legs."
Cerviche flew into the bathroom and reconnected with his body. "Im whole again!" he cried ecstaticlly.
"That's great, but we must find out what happened to the Chicas," said Duende. "They may be infected with some disease. We could all be infected. Lets get back to the ship and run some tests. We'll come back for the Chicas.
After running some tests they found that nobody, including Cerviche's body, was infected by any known diseases and chemicals. Oso then put on a class 5 containment suit and brought the Chicas onto the Macho Jet. There they found that their deaths were caused by a strange case of hyper herpes.
"Oh man," said Huevos. "Why'd it have to be Monica and Amber. How did they get it El Torso? I think I might be infected..."
"Not unless you slept with them in the last 12 hours," answered El Torso. "It seems that they were infected after they got to San Francisco. This virus is unlike any I have seen before. It kills at an astonishing rate. Let's get them back to Macho Mesa. And nobody touch them without a suit on. We don't want to spread this to the other Chicas."
Nobody noticed the woman watching the heroes talking outside the plane. No one saw the look on her face at the mention of more Chicas. And most importantly nobody saw the ring of sores around her mouth.
"When we get back we need to contact the Chicas' families and make funeral arrangements," Duende said glumly.
"And remember," added El Torso. "He who cries not feels not the bark of singing trees." Nobody understood the meaning of El Torso's words, and they were all too sad to care.
As they climbed into the jets, Fantasmas and Oso in the one the Chicas had flown, the woman ran out of hiding and planted a tracking device on the underside of the jet and dove behind some trash cans nearly being incinerated by the engines.
After the Nine returned home they took the bodies to the infirmary and contacted their relatives. "Both families said that the Chicas wanted to be buried here on the island," said Choni Susio after hanging up the phone.
"Well crap," said Fantasmas. "I guess that means we need to build a graveyard."
That night Sueltos and Oso went a little ways north of the Hall until they found a nice place under a small grove of Oak trees. Here they decided would be the site of the Macho Mesa Graveyard, and began to dig. The ground was soft and the graves were soon finished. As the two walked home Oso turned to Sueltos and asked: "What do you want to happed to you when you die?"
"I don't know, I never gave it much thought," he answered. "I'm not even sure we can die. But I guess I'd like to be buried here. What about you?"
Oso thought for a moment before responding. "I want to be cut in half and have one half buried here, and the other half in Arizona."
"Hmmm, Thats pretty weird. Lengthwise or that the waste?"
"Lentghtwise. That's enough talk of death, lets speak of happier things."
While they were talking the two failed to notice the 4 dark shapes fly across the moon toward the castle.
Back at the Hall of the Nine Kings the remaining Chicas were together mourining the loss of their firends. All of a sudden a hideous beast smashed through the window. It was followed by 3 more, one of which was carrying the woman from the hotel. The creatures had the faces and bodies of women although warped and twisted with evil. They had great leathery wings and short legs with large eagle-like talons.
"Go my Herpes Harpies," called the woman. "Grab these tastey morsals to be the pleasure slaves of Muff Mouth!"
Hearing the sounds of fighting the heroes ran to the room. Huevos was the first there and with lightning fast punches and kicks beat one of the dreadful harpies to death. "Retreat my pets," screamed the hag, and the creatures flew off into the night with her and 4 Chicas.
The other Chicas had all been scratched and cut in the fight, but were other wise all right. But that would not last. Soon the wounds began to fester and bleed. The infection spread from the wounds and soon their skin was peeling away and they cried out in pain. The Nine all watched helplessly and wept as all the Chicas died from the vile illness.
Through his tears Huevos spoke as strongly as he could. "Tonight we mourn..." he said before becoming overwhelmed.
Then Oso, whos face was as cold and hard as stone but whose anguish could be seen in his eyes, stood and growled. "Tonight we mourn, but tomarrow Muff Mouth dies."
