North Valley Pest Control - FAQ

  1. How much do you charge?
    • After a one-time setup fee of $60, I have a base price of $27 per month for pest control which can increase depending on the size of the house and property as well as the type of infestation. For weed control, the service will vary with the size and nature of the maintenance required. Please call for a free estimate.
  2. What pests do you control?
    • Roaches, crickets, ants, spiders, scorpions, silverfish, earwigs, beetles, rodents, etc. At an extra charge (based on situation) I control; fleas, ticks, flies, birds, gophers, bees, wasps, german roaches and stored product pests (weevils).
  3. How often does my lawn require weed management treatments?
    • The required number of treatments will vary widely depending upon the size and nature of the needed weed control. Generally, about 2-4 times a year is adequate.
  4. Will the chemical hurt my pet or family?
    • As long as people and pets stay out of a fresh application of pesticide, it is usually safe (depending on chemical used). I usually like to keep pets indoors for awhile while the exterior application is being performed and up to two hours afterwards. In cases where people are asthmatic or have allergic reactions, odorless applications can be used.
  5. Do you guarantee your service?
    • Yes, I guarantee my service for 30 days for regular monthly pest control customers. If a reoccurance should occur, I will come back at no charge to treat the affected area. Weed control is guaranteed between regularly scheduled treatments.
  6. Will you make me sign a contract or service agreement?
    • No, except by customer request. They are not legally binding and I find no need for the use of a contract.
  7. Do you do termites?
    • No. I am not licensed for termite control, however if I spot a termite tube on your house while I am performing service I will notify you so that you may seek a termite professional.
  8. Is the stuff you spray toxic?
    • According to the labels, the chemicals can be toxic once they are applied. I will usually instruct people to stay away from and keep pets away from areas that have just been treated until they are dry or aerated. I find that most importantly, keep people and pets away from the outdoors once it has been treated.
