13 September 2001
10 September – 10h – It’s another gray, cold and rainy day.
11h30 – Hooray! Top Gear, the BBC motoring show, is on!
Featured were:
Honda
Stream – £17,000
The London
stock market, called the FTSE (pronounced “footsie”) fell below 5000 today for
the first time since October 1998. There is panic in England.
Honda opened
a new plant in Swindon, England today (its 2nd in that town). It’ll
produce Civics (to be exported to Japan) and CRVs (to be exported to the USA).
20h – it’s
been gloomy and raining all day.
I ventured
out for a bit today. After stopping at my (idiotic) bank to check how much
money I had left in my account, I went to the internet café, where the guy who
runs it gave me a big smile and a “welcome home” style handshake. From there, I
walked back to my flat, stopping at the chicken shop to pick up a roasted
chicken, a small shop along the way to pick up tomatoes and the paper shop to
pick up thumb tacks.
My flat is on
the fifth floor and I love being this high up. I’ve never been higher than the
third floor before, and that was in my old flat. I’ve usually been on the first
floor, with one year on the 2nd. I feel like I can see forever up
here!
20h23 – The
program “Millennium” just came on. It’s from 1996 and I used to watch it all
the time. This is the very first episode. I loved the show because it was
fascinating, in a creepy, disgusting kind of way. I remember after I watched the first episode when it began in
1996, I thought that it was so creepy I would never watch it again. I watched
every week after that!
21h20 –
There’s a show called “First Wave” on now. I assume it’s some kind of prime
time show in the USA, but I’ve never heard of it before. It must have come on
after I left. It appears to be along the same lines as Millennium fascinating,
in an eerie, weird (but not (yet) disgusting) kind of way.
11 September – 2h25 – it’s early and I’m up again. I
couldn’t sleep, so I got up. It doesn’t really matter if I don’t get a lot of
sleep this week as I can take a nap whenever I want to.
CNN World
broadcasts out of their Hong Kong office at this time of day
2h30 – BBC World’s
internet show, Click Online is on now.
3h32 –
According to CNN World, Michael Jordan is going to unretire yet again from
basketball. I wonder if he needs the money.
12h04 – I ended up going back to bed after Dan Rather and
just woke up again. The weather is sill the same…cold, cloudy, windy &
rainy. Three days in a row. I had thought about going to Olsztyn if the weather
was good, but it’s not, so I’m not.
12h34 – CNN World just had a segment about the Frankfurt
Auto Show. I miss going to car shows. I’ve attended many in my life and loved
them. Even though I don’t want to own a car, it doesn’t mean I don’t like them.
15h24 – I’ve been working on my budget for the rest of
September and have started on Octobers as well. They are usually a bit tight
for me as I get paid at the end of September, but since I only work for two
weeks in that month, I only get paid for two weeks. So, considering that I like
to save as much as possible, I scrape by in October.
20h30 – Earlier today there was a terrible attack on New
York City, Washington DC and Pennsylvania (USA). I watched it in amazement,
fright and sheer terror on CNN, Sky News and BBC World. I took notes on things
as they were happening, but it turned out to be way too long. I like to keep
these pages relatively short to make them easier to load, so I decided to make
the notes a separate page. Click here to read what
was reported on the international market. I think I’m still in shock.
I still can’t believe it. As I mentioned in the above link,
I was just in the World Trade Center 13 days ago. I’m usually there every time
I go to NYC as I like browsing in the mall on the ground floor (especially
Borders Books) and it’s an easy place to change from the blue (A/C/E) subway to
the red (1/9) subway to get to the South Ferry stop to take the Staten Island
Ferry, past the Statue of Liberty. I love going out into NY harbour and looking
back at the city and do it every time I am in NYC as the SI Ferry is free.
The CD that I bought at Borders on 29 August (an Aaron
Copland CD) now takes on a special meaning to me. The reason I bought it was
because it only cost $7.99 (plus tax) and had my favourite Copland piece, “An
Outdoor Overture,” on it (which is hard to find). Coincidentally enough, it has
Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” on it, many of who perished today. I’ve just put it in my CD player and will
listen to it right now, and possibly forever, in memory of all those who
perished. I know that sounds corny and stupid, but it’s all I can do at such a
distance.
21h30 – I’ll definitely be up early tomorrow to watch CNN
World’s American Edition (5h30) and the CBS Evening News (6h30). I know, it
sounds weird to watch the CBS Evening News, but that’s when it’s on here. I’m
tired but I don’t think I’ll get too much sleep tonight.
Also, I’ll definitely be using the internet tomorrow to look
up articles on this.
22h27 – CNN World is now showing amateur video my Dr. Mark
Heath just after the collapse of one of the towers. He showed the car that
sheltered him from the debris and him walking the streets. It looked like a
thick fog. He walked the streets and offered his medical assistance whenever
possible. He ran into some firefighters who had medical supplies and set up
places to aid people as needed. What a brave man he must be! Honestly, if I was
that situation, I’d be running for my life.
23h20 – Time for bed. Goodnight.
23h50 – I’m up again. I couldn’t sleep, so I turned on the
TV.
12 September
– 0h02 – There are explosions going on in Kabul, Afghanistan,
where it is 2h30. CNN’s reporter is reporting by videophone and can hear
airplanes and see missiles and rockets striking the airport area and other
parts of the city. He can also see the Afghanis responding with tracer
anti-aircraft fire. Parts of the city are on fire. The reporter can’t tell if
it’s part of the civil war or if it’s the USA striking in retaliation to what
happened in the USA today. However, he did say that it is unusual for the
rebels (known as the Northern Alliance) in the civil war to strike Kabul.
0h34 – the US government has just said that the strikes are
not theirs.
0h44 – I’m tired, but don’t want to go to bed. I’m not sure
why, but perhaps it’s due to the fact that I don’t want to wake up in the
morning and realize that this wasn’t a movie or a bad dream, but it really did
happen. I’ll try to sleep a bit anyway. G’night again.
5h22 – I’m awake. I got very little sleep.
It’s almost time for CNN’s American Edition, although I
don’t think that it’ll be shown as CNN World It appears that is not being
broadcast as Wolf Blitzer, based out of CNN’s DC branch is on. CNN has just
said that there is a report of Cell phone calls from survivors trapped inside
the basement of the World Trade Center. Also, 78 police officers and more than
300 firefighters are missing in NYC.
5h28 – CNN has just reported that a van on New Jersey
Turnpike or Garden State Parkway near the George Washington Bridge has been
pulled over and two or three people are being held for questioning.
CNN is still showing pictures of where the World Trade
Center used to be. There’s still a lot of smoke and smouldering going on.
5h30 – Rudy Giuliani, the mayor of NYC, is answering
questions and has representatives of the NYPD and Fire Department with him. Two
people have been rescued and confirmed that there is a rescue operation going
on for the people calling on cell phones from the basement. The media says that
it would be a miracle if anyone was found alive. I don’t think so. Two
different subway routes and PATH run right through it, so it must be very well
supported. The miracle would be that their cell phones still worked! There will
probably be heroic rescue stories coming up for days.
Poor Rudy. He looks terrible. He looks very sad and looks
& sounds like he’s about to cry. At least NYers have a strong mayor to help
them through this. I wonder if Hilary Clinton has spoken yet.
Islamic groups are receiving death threat phone calls and
many have shut down their websites due to threatening emails.
Sky News is still broadcasting out of Fox News in the USA.
Murdock must own them both.
5h51 – Lower Manhattan will be completely sealed off in the
morning (EDT USA). People can leave Manhattan, but can’t come into it as all
bridges and tunnels are sealed off.
6h - Sky News has gone back to being broadcast out of
London.
According to Sky News, the members of congress sang “God
Bless America” on the steps of the Capitol.
6h18 – Sky News is back to broadcasting from Fox News in
NYC.
6h24 – CNN – Several US Embassies in the Middle East are
closed in definitely and the US embassy in Japan closed Wednesday.
Interestingly enough, CNN just had a CNN World reporter out of Atlanta, Jim Clancy,
reporting. I’ve only ever seen him presenting on CNN World. He’s also the host
of CNN World’s “Inside Africa” show
that I like. I guess that CNN is using anyone and everyone they can.
A Sky News reporter has just said that taking a domestic
flight in the USA is just like taking the bus..you’re never asked for your
ticket before boarding the plane, no metal detectors, no security bag checks,
etc. Obviously that reporter hasn’t taken a domestic flight in the USA in the
past 10 – 15 years. There are definitely security and bag checks as well as a
government issued ID (such as a driver’s license) is required for all domestic
flights, and you definitely need to show a boarding pass.
6h33 – Nope..No CBS Evening News. Darn!
6h42 – I’m gonna try to get some more sleep.
10h45 – The UN is temporarily pulling its staff out of
Afghanistan in fear of American retaliation for what happened yesterday.
They’re also taking their local staff (meaning the Afghani workers) as well as
their computer with them. In the past, they hadn’t done that.
18h19 – There are 17,000 passengers stranded in Canada.
All of the USA embassies in Arab countries are closed.
Midway Airline has closed, firing all of the 1,700 employees
immediately. That’s too bad as it had the highest ratings of all of the USA
based airlines.
18h58 – There’s something happening the 16th
floor of Westin Hotel in Boston. It’s thought that some suspects of what
happened yesterday might be in there. There is a big police & FBI action of
some kind going on as well as a bomb squad.
19h39 – The Canadian Prime Minister, Jean Chretien, is being
interviewed by CNN. He said that they have 30,000 people that were supposed to
be in the USA in Canada. He said that they are being cared for in hotels and
schools. He also said that in one town in Newfoundland, there are more people
at the airport than live in the town!
I checked my email today and responded to a few people who
didn’t know that I had returned to Europe already. I also received an email
from a relative who told me to be careful! As I’ve said before, I’m safer in
Poland than in the USA!
I met my friend Joanna for tea today at a place called the
Grill Bar. We met at 13h and parted at about 14h50. We caught up on each
other’s summer activities and talked about other things. From there I went to
the school to see Luca and Zdzislaw. We talked about the upcoming school year
and other things. I got home about 16h30. It was a nice time out.
According to the list of people who have signed up, my E, G
& M groups are completely full !! I was glad to see that most of students
in those groups are coming back. Both of the FCE groups I’ll be teaching have
about 8 people each so far. Others may sign up later this week, or early next
week. Regardless, 8 is a good number to have for an FCE group as it would let
me tailor the class to suit their individual needs. I’m not worried about the
CAE class having 15 as I can do many different group projects and they can help
eachother. It appears that my sixth class will be a Pre-Intermediate group
consisting of two different Elementary groups from last year. It should be a
good year.
23h30 – Passengers in Canada going to the USA were allowed
to travel to their original destinations, without knives (including plastic
knives). Interestingly enough, I always travel with my Swiss army knife in my
daypack. I guess I’ll have to leave it in my checked bag from now on. Even
steak knives are banned on flights. I used one on both of my flights last week.
What will we cut our chicken with?
There was a press conference in NYC with all of the NY
elected officials (Rudy, Pataki, and the congress people (including Hilary).
They called for all Americans to join together in solidarity and fly the American
flag from their window, no matter if they live in an apartment building or
house.
CNN reported that First Lady Laura Bush visited a center
where people were giving blood. I wonder if she gave blood herself? I wonder if
W did also? Why don’t we see pictures of other elected officials giving blood?
Giuliani is excepted because of all he’s doing. He’s too busy.
NATO has said that an attack on one NATO country is an
attack on all NATO countries. This is the first time in its 52-year history
that NATO has invoked that clause (Article 5 of their treaty). Interesting as
I’m in a NATO country right now. Poland joined NATO in March of 1998.
Also, 1 Liberty Plaza (in NYC) is in danger of collapse.
Dust is rising up about it and the rescue crews, as well as everyone else, is
being evacuated.
Gas stations
in the USA are price gouging and charging $3.99 – $5.50 per gallon. When I left
the USA (7 days ago), it was $1.35. Idiots. How dare they take advantage of a
situation like this!
13 September
– 6h28 – Sky News just said, “Some Americans don’t understand
that not everywhere in the world views America as the good guys.” What a load
of crap. I know that most Americans know that the USA isn’t liked by all.
Sky news is now showing the time in the UK and NY on the
lower left side of the screen. Usually they only show UK time.
6h30 – No CBS Evening News again. Darn.
6h34 – According to BBC World, American airports will be
closed until further notice and the US Military is still in charge of all US
airspace. Canadian airspace is still closed, as is London City airport (a
smaller airport in London). British Air has cancelled its service to Islamabad.
Israel’s airspace is open to flights from Europe, Amman (Jordan) and Cairo.
Thank goodness I came back to Europe last week! There’d be no telling when I’d
get here if I didn’t.
I wish that CNN would stop showing the two airplanes
crashing into the World Trade Center. The entire world has seen those pictures
several hundred times. There is no reason for them to show it every five
minutes (and when they show it, they usually show it five times in a row). They
even show it while there are press conferences going on!!
BBC World just switched to a reporter in the “American
Midwest.” He was in Barstow, CALIFORNIA! Then, he goes on to say that Utah is
in “America’s Midwest.” Well, they’re getting closer. Then, the reporter goes
son to say that Utah is just across the Rocky Mountains from Barstow.
Ummm..Hello? The Rocky Mtns divide Utah and Colorado. Barstow is nowhere near
the Rockies. Perhaps I’ll send BBC World an atlas.
Why is it that the only people who seem to be happy about
the tragedy and are literally dancing in the streets are the Palestinians?
They’ve shown Palestinians in Lebanon and East Jerusalem doing that. Sick! .
Palestinians are probably going to lose a lot of sympathy and support in the
conflict that is going on between them and Israel.
6h55 – There is a candlelight vigil going on in Washington
Square Park right now. CNN is showing people singing the Star Spanked Banner
and Amazing Grace there. CNN World is still showing CNN domestic coverage, but
is also using CNN World reporters and presenters on CNN domestic. Most of the
ones are usually CNN World presenters who are based in Atlanta. I guess they’re
using anyone that they can get.
The Empire State Building and Penn Station were evacuated
due to a bomb scare last night.
Alessio Vinci is reporting live from NYC for CNN. He used to
be the Belgrade Bureau Chief for CNN World and was the Rome Bureau Chief a few
months ago.
FEMA has been asked to bring 6,000 body bags to NYC.
American-Islamic groups are calling for Americans not to act
like terrorists after windows in a mosque in Texas were broken. I think they’re
expecting a lot of anti-Muslim/Islamic activity like there was in 1993 after
the garage of the WTC was bombed. Also today, a molotov cocktail was thrown at
an Arab-American community center in Chicago and 300 people in a Chicago suburb
tried to march to a mosque to protest, but were turned back.
I think I’m still in denial that this has really happened! I
had just finished arranging my NYC postcards on my fridge before turning to CNN
and finding about this on Tuesday. Yes, all of the postcards show the WTC
towers in them, after all, they are (were) a symbol of NYC.
Downing Street is saying that there may be hundreds of Brits
dead in the WTC. Most of the companies in the WTC were (I can’t believe I’m
using the past tense for this) international financial companies with offices
in London and New York.
I wish there was some place around here that I could buy an
English language newspaper. I’d have to go to Olsztyn for that and there is no
guarantee that the shops there would have one in stock.
7h57 – A bit of light during a dark moment...CNN has just
reported that the New Yorkers are standing on the West Side Highway (a main
artery that runs down the west side of NYC and is being used by the workers to
get to the WTC) and cheering and applauding for the military, fire department
and other workers (such as bulldozer drivers) that are involved in the
rescues/recovery/cleanup efforts. If I was in Philadelphia, I would go up to
NYC and participate in that. A man was
giving flowers to every truck that passed with ashes in it and said “All those
trucks with ashes have peoples’ family members in them.” They even cheered a
utility company truck (a lady said, “This is probably be the only time we’ll be
happy to see them”). I wish there was something I could do to help, but at this
great of a distance, there isn’t.
Jonathan Mann (on right now) is also a CNN World presenter,
but usually does things like their Insight program and “feel good” programs
& segments. It’s weird to see him reporting on a tragedy like this.
Yesterday in Congress, another (idiot) senator from
Pennsylvania (Sanatorun) said, “This is not a time to bring people to justice.
It is a time to wage a war and win a war.” What an idiot. What’s wrong with all
these PA congress people? Sanatorun, Weldon & Specter are all idiots.
Perhaps being a clueless moron is a requirement for being a PA congressperson.
Broadway theatres will resume shows on Thursday and the
lights of Time Square will be lit up again.
8h22 – It’s not raining yet, but is cool, cloudy &
windy.
8h46 – Right now, patrolling the West Coast of the USA
(including Hawaii) are 14 warships and 1 aircraft carrier, and patrolling the
East Coast are 2 aircraft carriers 5 warships.
8h51 – Sky news – The number of Brits confirmed dead in the
tragedy is close to 100 now.
12h30 – There’s a special changing of the guard being held
at Buckingham Palace. Interestingly enough, Sky News has chosen to show NYC
instead of it. They showed the beginning of it (soldiers marching in), but then
cut back to the scenes of NYC. They had said that the US national Anthem was to
be played at it for the first time ever.
12h49 – LaGuardia, Newark & JFK airports are open on a
limited basis (I think that means planes for people who were stranded in Canada
can land there).
12h51 – Mexico has reported that there were 150 Mexicans
working in the WTC, 12 of which are unaccounted for. Twenty-seven South Koreans
and 100 Japanese are still unaccounted for.
13h21 – Amtrak ridership is swelling as they’re honouring airline
tickets.
13h46 – Attorney General John Ashcroft is making a statement
right now. Making a statement is the wrong phrase as many of his answers are
“I’m not prepared to comment on that.” He doesn’t say if he is not allowed to
comment on it or he doesn’t know. He’s not really providing any information!
Fox and NBC have delayed the beginning of the new television
series, the Emmies and Latin Grammies have also been postponed.
13h54 – USA airspace will be reopened at 11h (EDT USA). Each
individual airport will be allowed to open will be made on a case-by-case
basis.
E-ticketing (Electronic Ticketing) will go down the drain as
one of the new regulations requires EVERY passenger to go to the ticket counter
to check in. It used to be if you had an e-ticket and no luggage to check, you
could go to the security area and proceeded right to the gate after clearing
security. It was very convenient.
15h30 – I’ve switched away from news and have been watching
other shows. It nice to watch TV shows without commercials interrupting.
I’ve been back for a week and am getting a bit bored. I’m
looking forward to work starting as it’ll give me something to do.
16h01 – American Airlines and Continental will only resume
flights that were interrupted due to the closure of the airports. Northwest
will not resume flights before 19h (EDT USA) at the earliest. Southwest
airlines will not resume any flights today.
16h05 – Giuliani is giving a press conference. He looks a
lot better today (understandably, he looked terrible on Tuesday). Manhattan
will be open down to Canal Street tomorrow with select parts of Lower Manhattan
to be opened. There are 4,763 missing persons (on the planes and in the WTC).
The operation is still considered to be a rescue operation, not a recovery one.
He’s giving a great press conference, with lots of specific information and
answers to questions. He really is in charge! Go Rudy!
The Pentagon is has returned to full operation today, even
with half the building being closed due to damage. That would be eerie..working
in part of a building while people are trapped (and probably dead) in other
parts of the same building. However, I do understand the need for the Pentagon
to be able to prove that they can’t be shut down for a long time. I think it’s
more of a “save face” thing than anything else.
16h38 – It hasn’t rained yet today!
17h – CNN has been switching back between CNN World and CNN
domestic, but primarily keeping with domestic.
17h05 – W has just come on TV to tell all Americans to be
nice to Arabs and Muslims who live in the USA.
I love all of the idiots who are calling for a declaration
of war. Who would they declare it against?
17h55 – Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta is reopening. It’s the
busiest airport in the USA. The first flight should take off in about 5 or 10
minutes.
19h – Five firefighters were found alive today in the
rubble. HOORAY!!! They had taken refuge inside a Chevrolet Suburban. Three of
them were in good enough condition to walk out.
Laura Bush is on CNN now. She’s touting the idiotic “The
President is great,” “Americans are great” crap. Her interviews and press
conferences aren’t even worth watching. Hilary was her own woman with her own
opinions. Laura is nothing but a puppet and cheerleader.
19h46 – The first people that were diverted just landed at
LAX. It was an Alitalia flight that had been sent to Calgary. There were 150
flights diverted on 11 September.
19h51 – CNN is showing the highlights of the special Changing
of the Guard ceremony from earlier today. They played the Star Spangled Banner
and then had a minute of silence for the people who had been killed.
They also just interviewed a volunteer rescue worker. He’s
an equity trader (suit & tie guy) who volunteered and rode the bus up with
a bunch if ironworkers, who were also volunteering and with whom he’s been
working with every since. He said that in regular daily life, they probably
wouldn’t have given eachother the time of day.
19h57 – CNN has just said that there is a report that
another building that has collapsed. They’re not sure if it was an unstable
building that was brought down on purpose or if the was an actual collapse and
there is no confirmation that it even happened.
20h – I’ve turned away from CNN as I’m getting burned out on
the news. Here is a movie called “In
The Line Of Duty” on. I think I’ve heard the title before, but have no idea
what it’s about.
20h08 – It’s raining now. I knew it couldn’t go a day
without it.
21h44 – It turned out to be a quite good movie! It was good
enough to make me wonder if it was based on a true story.
21h46 – Sure enough, just after I typed the above, the
credits said it was based on a true story.
22h05 – Trading on the New York Stock Exchange will not
resume until 9h30 on Monday. IT was hoped that it would be tomorrow, 14
September, but it turns out that it won’t.
22h10 – The 51 story American Express building near the
World Trade Center may collapse.
22h20 – Sky news had a story about some kind of threat to a
Muslin school in England and all of the students have been sent home until
further notice. Also, Sky news is still saying that Bin-Laden is under house
arrest in Afghanistan. However, last I heard, that couldn’t be confirmed by BBC
or CNN.
I did some laundry tonight. I still haven’t rigged up an
inside clothesline, so I’m hanging my clothes on hangers and then am hanging
the hangers from window sills, cabinet door, etc. It’s going to be a long
winter.
22h53 – Also, 63 US airports are opened mainly for diverted
flights and airplane repositioning. Flights from overseas carriers are not
allowed yet and are being turned back.
Some firefighters said that the got down to the basement
levels of the WTC, specifically the PATH (New Jersey suburban train) level and
said that all they saw down there was a big void.
Interestingly enough, CNN had a story about the differences
in the loss of American life in the past many disasters. The reporter spoke of
how this time, instead of their being yellow ribbons, there are flags hanging
at half-mast.
23h01 – CNN now reports that the black box (flight data
recorder) from the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania has been found.
Congress passed a resolution earlier today for Americans to
fly the flag for the next 30 days. I don’t have a US flag with me, but I do
have a US flag postcard and three pens that have a stars & stripes design
on then with me. That’ll have to do.
CNN has a reporter on the street that is talking to people
who are waiting in line at the Armoury to register their loved ones who are
missing. The people are passing out flyers and pictures and checking all
hospitals. Some of the stories are very touching. The story of a son looking
for his dad who was a window washer on the observation deck of the WTC made
three CNN reporters cry.
The sad thing about this is that there are a few website
where people put the names of the people they’re looking for and people can
place comments on them. However, some people are putting unverified comments
such as “They’re okay” on them, giving the families hope, but without
substantiation. In my opinion, it might either be people who want to give
others hope placing those comments, or sickos (which there are many of on the
internet) playing a joke.
23h09 – CNN has confirmed that the story about the 5
firefighters is false, even though rescuers had said that they had found them
and NYPD confirmed the story. 5 firefighters were working on the rubble and
fell into a hole earlier today and then they were rescued.
Media members have been arrested for posing as firefighters
and US Marshals in hopes of getting close to the scene in order to take
pictures. What morons! They deserve whatever they get!
To add to the bad news, after midnight (EDT USA), NYC is
expecting rain, but it should end before midday on Friday.
23h35 – Sky news took a bag to Heathrow airport in London
with a laptop computer and three knives hidden behind it. The security people
didn’t pick up on the knives!
23h41 – Flight take-offs have been suspended from the New
York airports (La Guardia, JFK & Newark).
23h43 – CNN reports that The Senate (the north side of the
Capitol Building) is being evacuated, but CNN hasn’t been told why yet.
23h49 – The House of Representatives side of the Capitol
Building is now being evacuated.
It appears that there was a suspicious package in the
Capitol Building that a sniffer dog reacted negatively to, so the building is being
totally evacuated. It looks nice and sunny in DC and the senators are taking
their jackets off. That’s a nice change over cold and rainy Poland.
There was just something on CNN that had a list of
firefighters around the world giving a tribute to the US firefighters. It said
that the Polish firefighters sounded their sirens. Now that they mention it, I
heard many sirens earlier this evening. That must have been why.
23h58 – CNN
reports that now all the NYC airports have been totally shut down due to “FBI
activity.” They haven’t elaborated.
