On Tuesday, one of my students, Maceik, lent me a DVD of the movie Matrix (I have DVD on my laptop). When I originally set up the computer, it asked me to select a region for the DVD player, and I selected North America, as that’s where I was living at the time I bought it. However, the one that came with the computer only lets you select the region once and specifies that it can’t be changed. However, with the video that he lent me, there is a program called PCFriendly that lets me change it. Gotta love it. The movie is excellent also. I watched most of it that evening and have watched it many times since.

Also on Tuesday evening, the movie Corvette Summer was on. Yes, I admit that I like that movie (and many other stupid ones of that kind). After all, I always have and always will love cars. I just don’t want the hassle and expense of owning one ever again. Also, the movie shows a lot of Los Angeles and Vegas, which are two of my favorite places (I’ve had great times in both). That probably has a lot to do with why I like the movie. Finally, it’s mainly about two (Danny and Vanessa) people who meet up and try to get through life together. They share good times, bad times, hard times, and easy times. I can relate.

On Wednesday, at 21h (GMT +1), there was a press conference by President Clinton. He really is an excellent speaker and has a lot of good ideas. Too bad he has had to work with a "do nothing" Congress for so long, otherwise, a lot more could’ve been done. The USA is probably the only country in the world where the legislature goes out of it’s way to work against the leader of the country. In my opinion, he’s been a very good president for the USA. He might not be a perfect person, but then, who is?

I saw an advert on the tellie that the movie Lake Placid opens in England on 31 March 2000. I saw that movie on the flight from NYC to Brussels when I was coming to Poland.

However, my students said that it has already been to Poland. Maybe they were talking about when it opens in the UK.

The motoring show TOP GEAR is back on BBC as of 31 March. It’s a typical car show with good presenters and I enjoy it.
