On TRL... Some Questionable Guests
Some Questionable Guests
This part is dedicated to those guests who bravely come on TRL... and manage to make complete fools out of themselves. Their heads are in the clouds and it's hilarious. These are the questionable guests:
'N Sync and Gloria Estefan on 10/7/99
First of all… a comment on their appearances. Justin: dark hair that’s kinda reddish and really too long? What happened? Lance: good hair and clothes, actually, and for some reason his eyes didn’t look that funny today. JC: wasn’t shown enough (he would be my fav, if I had to choose). Chris: wore a hat that said "*N Suck" and no I am not kidding. And they had it made. Where are you’re dreds? Joey: does a little dance. I say no. Still wearing that mistake of a necklace.
Gloria is milking her position next to ‘N Sync. However, must she continually make sexual comments and references? It’s not that cool, and neither are they.
What’s up with the horrid Ricky Martin impressions?
When they’re video comes up as number two, Chris proudly declares that their position is better than #3 or #5. Hey, guys, you’re video was number three yesterday. And I’m also wondering why he chose those two positions, that of Limp Bizkit and Blink 182, instead of like #3 and #4, which would have made more sense. Do I sense some hostility towards these artists? Is it because they are so much more talented? Is it because they actually write their own music? Wait, is that it? That’s what I thought Chris.
When their video begins to play, JC stupidly shouts, "Hey, that’s the first shot we took!" Um, duh. It’s the first shot of the entire video. And then, he has the amazing stupidity to say, "Hey, there’s my first shot!" as his face is shown for the first time. JC, what’s going on here? Apparently we can always count on you to point out the obvious. I know you didn’t get to talk that much, but don’t try to make up for it by saying dumb comments.
Today, yet another startling revelation about this video. They didn't even see the kids in the video. At all. Yeah this song is SO inspirational, it was recorded in two different places and they kids weren't even inspired by the presence of the so-called artists. That's cheap, guys.

That one part when Carson introduces their video @ number two and asks, "What's up with that?" Justin responds with, "I think it's 'coz it's a slow song." Did you notice how Carson goes, "Nuh-uh. 'I Want It That Way' is a slow song. IT'S been at number before"? (I just love Carson.) Carson was REALLY saying, "That answer isn't good enough!"
When the number one video came up *coughBackstreetcough* Justin does the little "bowmp bowmp bah bowmp bah bah bah bowp" in the beginning of the song. Those sounds RIGHT before AJ's evil maniacal screaming.
(This is from a different episode and you probably already know it) If you saw the beginning of TRL that one day Joey and Chris hosted the show (Carson was doing community service that day) Chris was lip-synching to "Larger Than Life." (I swear these guys own the album or something) Later on, Chris opens his pajama top to show that he himself is wearing a BsB shirt (GO CHRIS!!). What a weirdo, that Backstreet Boys reject. (Can you imagine if Howie actually HAD let Chris join? It's bad enough hearing their high-pitched falsetto voices in SEPARATE groups, but TOGETHER? But then, there would be no *NSYNC now would there?...)
