january first - january eighth, two thousand
jaunary first, two thousand
- Perfect start, I spell "Juanary" wrong. Politically correct, it's January.
- A millennium doesn't even come once in a lifetime. Only a few selected people, like myself, experience this once (very very high are the odds if it's twice *winking eyes*).
- Last song heard last millennium: "Ready To Go," by Republica.
- First song heard this millennium: "Millennium" by Robbie Williams (naturally).
- I just realized, that after 12 minutes into the year, our lights are still on. No Y2K bug here (currently in Brookings, Oregon) or in other places of the world, as it seems to be.
- I lose my first two games of Yahtzee in a row to Mom, including the rest of the games I've played today; two Scattergories and four Spuntz games. Mike was included in all of the games, and he won them all as well. I won a game each in Spuntz and Yahtzee before the close of the last millennium, and thought it was a sign for this millennium: to begin my losing streak *=P*

- I spent my whole waking day driving from Brookings, Oregon, back to home in Visalia, California. It took over ten hours. Mom and I left at 6:30am, and stopped for breakfast shortly before 11am in Eureka, California. We got gas twice in Lucerne and Merced, both in California. I took three or four naps, and got car sick a half and hour into out trip.
- I looked at my calendar in my closet, and it said I didn't have school tomorrow. I was really happy! Then I called Chelsi just to confirm it, and she confirmed there was no school. Then she called me ten minutes later saying there was school. They had found a more recent notice they got from the school, and it said we had school January 3rd. I almost didn't tell my parents, but I did.
monday, january third, two thousand
- It's funny when Jami says, "Sucka..." and "Whoopadedoo!" like how Adam Sandler says it. I wish she'd say it more often.
- My dad is leaving tomorrow and I realized that after I got off the phone with Deirdra around 9pm, that I was going to miss my dad when he left for Phoenix. I went outside my room to go downstairs to spend some time with him, when it was dark and there was no light down there. I went towards my mom and his bedroom, and the light was still on, so I let myself in, and found my mom reading and my dad sleeping next to her. I asked if he was sleeping, and my mom said he was. She said I could wake him up, but I said no. Then I went back to my room and cried for a little bit. I walked back to their room and asked mom if she got her CD, and she said yes. I looked at dad, and then left back to my room, and cried for maybe five minutes, but it seemed longer. Then I got a knock at my door, and I asked who it was. I thought it was Uncle Biill because him and dad sound alike, so I kept my head turned away from the door, and I dared to look to see who it was: Dad. He saw my crying face, and came over to me, sat down, and hugged me. I said, "I'm happy this is happenning, but I'm sad you won't be here." He started crying after I said that, and we hugged for awhile. He blew his nose a few times, then we listened to the radio and talked about some memories and what was going to happen. We watched a little bit of Big Daddy, where Sonny and Julien are at the watching "the God-damn Jets" and when Julien spills the milk trying to make breakfast, cries; Sonny puts newspaper on it, steps on Scuba Steve and yells "Ahh! Scuba Steve! Damn you!" and Julien laughs. Then we said goodnight, see you in the morning, and I love you.

- I'm thinking about moving to Arizona with my dad at semester. I can make friends faster and adapt quicker. Dad can teach me driving :). I miss him.
- I really hate English class. That's kinda why I wanna live with my dad at semester. I just got a 5 out of 30 on a Watership Down quiz. I can't comprehend anything in that book. Hell, Julius Caesar was better than all this crap we're doing! Maybe that's because we didn't have to take the book home to read it. Anyways, I hate it! I have an 86%, my lowest grade! It went from an 88 to an 87 to an 86. If I stay here, and get that class again at semester, I'm going to try my hardest to get out of that class. No, I will get out of that class.
- I'm starting to whisper a lot, like my mom.
- The book isn't so bad now. I just read chapter 31-33 in Watership Down. I actually paid attention to it! I think I did this time because I really need to concentrate on my grade in there if I want to get a 4.0 at semester. I hope out paper doesn't have to be long. And I know some more vocabulary. Maybe it won't be so bad...I'll still try to switch out at semester if I get her though.
- I take my driver's test for my permit tomorrow! I'll study throughout the day...hopefully I'll pass.
- Dad didn't call today. I'm disappointed.
wednesday, january fifth, two thousand
- Only a few people commented on my Letterman's jacket, which is good because of the '00 graduating year on the side (whereas I'm '02). Geometry class was the worst. I said "my Dad got the wrong one" and Christine started laughing loudly, making me feel like my dad is the biggest retard, which made me feel bad because he thought of something clever. Clever. 2000 is my last year at Redwood. Not graduating, moving. Yet not everyone knows, but who cares. I may just keep the '00 on there because...I love him.
- Dad finally called tonight. Not a very good conversation. I was just upset he called a day late and that I shared my story (up above) with him and he kinda snapped back.
- My row cheated badly on a verb game in Spanish 2. Jill just wrote all the verbs, and we all bunched around. We did it twice and got away with it once.
- The substitute in Geometry practically gave us all the answers to our quiz today.
- April, Deirdra, and I went to Taco Bell today. I got my usual two 7-layer burritos and spent my "Taco Bell money" on it.
- I took my permit test today. It was like the one from Driver's Education last year. I could miss up to 7 points, and I was sweating it on quite a few questions. Guess what. I missed 6 points. I can start driving once I'm enrolled in Driver's Training. I was so scared I wasn't going to pass. To help me, I overheard a lady giving the right answer on the test to a pupil, so I got an out on that. Shh!!
- I read around 45 pages in Watership Down. That's pretty damn good of me. I even did some extra credit for English, I even managed to squeeze in a chapter of my outside reading book (Her Dream Come True) and wrote down all this crap that's happened to me today.
thursday, january sixth, two thousand
- Jami and I came up with a great idea for column stories. We're both doing, "Point/Counterpoint," like in the Gigantea. She's dissing "pop" boy bands and praising "real" boy bands, and I'm doing the opposite: praising "pop" boy bands and and dissing the "real" ones. We both are comparing and adding some positive detail to our dissing bands. I'm not up for pop bands, but I wanted to make it easier for Jami. It's a great idea.
- During second period, I went to the dentist and got my lower braces taken off. It hurt. But they're gone! I go for retainers next week. They gave me three balloons, sparkling apple cider, and a bag of popcorn.
- English was fun today (for once)! We wrote a journal: we had to come up with advertisement slogans on TV, radio, etc...like Trix and Ross, etc. There were a lot of great ones! Rae Ann did the Gottschalks "I wanna be seen getting off the bus..." and Chris did an Auto Chopper commmercial (local) and the large monster guy from Happy Gilmore was in it, and he lives in Clovis, by Visalia. He goes "Rrrrahgghhh!" and chops a window in a car, it's funny. Chris almost mentioned "Take me to the bedroom- Superstore! (also local)" and "Trojan maaaaan!" It was hilarious. I should list all the commercials that I see, hear, and remember. Then we discussed propaganda for our final, relating to the ad thing.
- We did a hostage pantomime in Drama. I was going to be taken hostage in a bank. So was Chelsi, Justin McMath, and Shannon were the robbers and Cassie was the bank teller. It was pretty good. We have to do it again tomorrow.
- Mr. Ayers is back today.
- I was going to get my hair all chopped off today, but I just got the ends cut off, and had it done in a French braid.
- Who's Line Is It Anyway? was on. Funny as always.
friday, january seventh, two thousand
- Crystal Meeks in Drama class was going to do a pantomime with her group, a cruise that was going to sink. It looked like she was acting to be seasick, when she claimed, "I can't breathe, I can't breathe." Taneshina and the rest of the class thought she was kidding. She kept saying "I can't breathe, I can't breathe," and almost collapsed. Then Taneshia led her out into the hallway, and Jessica went to tell Mrs. Adams, and she called the ambulance, then Jessica called Crystal's mom. The ambulance came, and I hope she's okay.
- During Geometry, there was a big punch or something through the whiteboard. Turns out a guy found out he had a D+ in the Drama 2-3-4 class and lost his temper; he yelled at the teacher and everyone, and he threw a chair at the wall (that was the band) and put a hole in it. Then he punhed the drama glass display in the Sierra Vista hallway. He'll probably get expelled. I heard of this, not experienced it.
- I worked at a frosh girls basketball game concession stand for Journalism. It went by fast. Melisah is stopping me from feeling my true feelings for Josh. She kept saying "His Dad LOVES me, and my Mom LOVES him. My Dad says we should get married..." and blahblahblah. I hate her so much because of that. I want to slap her mouth shut.

- I blow dried my hair curly then straight. It looks crappy, and put me in a bad mood. Then my mom yelled at me. It made me feel upset all day until dinner and two games of Yahtzee.
- I read my make-up chapters in Watership Down. I meant to do other homework but I didn't.
- I went bowling tonight with Bonnie and Deirdra. We played to games. I won both (naturally). It was fun, and really crowded. By the time we left there was a long line outside waiting to get in and play.
