In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Satan

Recall that your Lord said to the angels,
"I am placing a representative (a temporary god) on Earth."
They said, "Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and
shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You,
and uphold Your absolute authority?"
He said, "I know what you do not know." [Quran 2:30]

Perfect health, wealth and happiness are characteristics of those who can bring themselves to believe and live within the confines of the first commandment common to all scriptures; as well as return to God's Kingdom in the Hereafter. Such individuals have accepted God as their only Lord and Master. Those who venture outside the confines of the first commandment have de facto accepted a god other than God and moved into Satan's dominion. There can be no god other than God. However, Satan believed that his God-given powers qualified him to function as an independent god. As evidenced by the prevalence of misery, disease, accidents, and war in his dominion, we now know that Satan is incompetent.

The Quran clearly states that Satan was an angel, by virtue of the immense powers and rank bestowed upon him. This is why he is addressed as an angel prior to his fall (see also 17:61, 18:50, 20:116, 38:71).

When we said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam," they fell prostrate, except Satan; he refused, was too arrogant, and a disbeliever. [2:34]

We created you, then we shaped you, then we said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam." They fell prostrate, except Iblees (Satan); he was not with the prostrators. [7:11]

Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter's clay. "Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him. The angels fell prostrate; all of them, except Iblis (Satan). He refused to be with the prostrators. [15:28-31]

When you read the Quran,
you shall seek refuge in GOD from Satan the rejected.
He has no power over those who believe
and trust in their Lord.
His power is limited to those who
choose him as their master,
those who choose him as their god [16:98-100].
