The Brute Shooter

Seggal: What promotions do you compete for?

Brute Shooter: I am under contract with new dimension wrestling.

Seggal: Tell us about your wrestling background

Brute Shooter: however, i have worked for a TON of different promotions. i am trained by jimmy valiant, the boogie woogie man. he worked for wcw, wwf, uswa, smokey mountain...all of the big name promo's.

Seggal: How many years are under your belt

Brute Shooter: i was promoted to instructor at his camp (located in shawsville, va) at the beginning of this year. i have been wrestling for 4 years.

Seggal: What are some of the tougher opponents you have faced?

Brute Shooter: jimmy valiant, manny fernandez, king mabel, ricky morton, david isley, rikki nelson, rick link, brian christopher, ivan koloff just to name a few. oh yeah..and the hardy boyz.

Seggal: what other promotions have you competed for?

Brute Shooter: mason dixon wrestling, north american wrestling alliance, power pro wrestling, music city wrestling, amercian championship wrestling, black diamond wrestling, power league wrestling and american wrestling association. hundreds more..but i can't think of them all. i was on the road with jimmy valiant for 2 years...

Seggal: What is your take on the Owen Hart tragedy?

Brute Shooter: wherever he went and wrestled...so did i.

Seggal: can you expand on that?

Brute Shooter: Well, it is a damn shame. It really bugged me. I'm not going to lie, I did cry because I met owen last year and he was very nice and helpful. He gave me good advice and took time to speak with me. I don't believe the blame lies on anyone such as Vince or the WWF.

Seggal: What advice did he give you

Brute Shooter: it was an accident, plain and simple. no one wanted him to die. he told me to make sure that i was trained by someone that knew what they were doing. and also... to train hard and get in shape. stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Seggal: What federation would you work for if you could work for any in the world?

Brute Shooter: hmmm...and be successful? or just work for them and do whatever?

Seggal: be succesful with

Brute Shooter: iwgp i would love to be successful in japan.

Seggal: For the money?

Brute Shooter: partially... but mainly because i don't like the way that the wwf and wcw are doing things now.

Seggal: What do you mean

Brute Shooter: to much drama, to much dazzle and glitter...its getting people killed. even though i don't blame the wwf...

Seggal: what about WCW?

Brute Shooter: i don't like wcw because unless your sucking someone off...you don't stand a chance. to many old timers that don't want to step down.

Seggal: What about ECW?

Brute Shooter: don't like their style.

Seggal: too extreme?

Brute Shooter: well, its not wrestling. i mean...how many times have you seen sabu or new jack actually lock up with their opponent? never. wrestling was based and founded on being able to get heat, having rules so that the bad guys can break them. ECW is nothing like what wrestling was founded on.

Seggal: isn't that a little old school?

Brute Shooter: yeah, i guess it is. but that is what i like.

Seggal: shouldn't it be what the majority wants

Brute Shooter: that is what the majority of the wrestlers in the locker room say.

Seggal: I mean the fans

Brute Shooter: yeah, it should..but if the majority of the fans wanted all hardcore..wouldn't ecw be prime time??

Seggal: then how do you explain WWF's wrestling style

Brute Shooter: well...wwf is not hardcore, they are adult oriented. its different i mean...if you hit a guy with a chair...and the ref sees you do it...your dq'ed.

Seggal: and the wildly popular hardcore division

Brute Shooter: what about it? do i like it?

Seggal: no I'm sayin the WWF has started to use the extreme style more and more

Brute Shooter: how do you figure? they only have maybe one or two televised matches a week that are hardcore.

Seggal: how many matches have chairs or foreign objects in them?

Brute Shooter: that is irrelevant in my opinion because chairs and foreign objects have been around for years.

Seggal: not legally

Brute Shooter: i was referring to all hardcore. its not legal in wwf either if the ref sees you use it..your done. unless its hardcore.

Seggal: but they are still used, look at the main events of most PPVs

Brute Shooter: right...but not legally as you pointed out. personally...i hate hardcore.

Seggal: so if the ref sees it and does nothing what differance does it make if its legal or not

Brute Shooter: because like i pointed out about 10 minutes ago...if its legal to use a chair, then its pointless to wrestle at all. why not just jump in the ring with a chair?

Seggal: lol lets get back on track here, who is the most valuable commodity in wrestling

Brute Shooter: just flail your opponent to death. last point... anyone can swing a chair. only real wrestlers can wrestle: benoit, malenko, flair, anderson, jericho and saturn.sabu, hak and a guys like that in my opinion are a waste of time.

Seggal: are those who you feel are the most valuable commodities are

Brute Shooter: well...thats really not a fair question.

Seggal: why not

Brute Shooter: th Seggal: Beniot and Malenko?

Brute Shooter: how many world titles has either one of them held in wcw?

Seggal: how many chances have they had?

Brute Shooter: my point exactly. you just proved it for me. only the money makers and fan favorites get title shots.

Seggal: then why are they NOT the most valuable commodities

Brute Shooter: good question.

Seggal: thats what I'm asking you

Brute Shooter: because the fans today are used to seeing hardcore...they are used to seeing guys get up from 14 chair shots to the skull. they don't appreciate wrestling for what it is.

Seggal: then how do you suggest the appreciate it

Brute Shooter: i don't suggest anything. this is a free country. i don't force my opinion on the fans. they have the right to like what they want. i am speaking from my point of view.

Seggal: what are the options for you

Brute Shooter: i don't down grade anyone who likes hardcore. i respect the athletes who do hardcore, for giving the fans what they want.

Brute Shooter: harcore is popular...but it will die out eventually. when they can't top theirself anymore...it will die. it will get boring.

Seggal: would you wrestle hardcore?

Brute Shooter: yes. i have before.

Seggal: what have you done hardcore

Brute Shooter: compared to ecw...probably nothing.

Seggal: what would that be

Brute Shooter: i have taken multiple chair shots per match...went through several tables...barbed wire...

Seggal: was the barbed wire rubber tipped

Brute Shooter: no..not many indy promotions can afford to do that.

Seggal: have you ever juiced yourself?

Brute Shooter: no offense brother...but i won't sell out the business. I have bled a lot of times.

Seggal: don't you think the buisness is already sold out?

Brute Shooter: oh yes...very much so, but out of respect for the old timers that taught me and the ones that tried to protect it...i won't. even though the fans think they know it all...the really don't know the half of it.

Seggal: do you have any final comments for your fans

Brute Shooter: keep your eyes open for "BRUTE SHOOTER".
