Seggal: Who trained you?
Adrian Lynch: Rockin' Randy Ricci here in Chicago, and Ed Sharkey up in Minneapolis helped me out a lot.
Seggal: Where are you originally from?
Adrian Lynch: I was born in Manchester, England & moved to the US with my family when I was 3, and I grew up in Chicago I split my time now between Tucson, AZ & Chicago when I'm not on the road.
Seggal: What promotions do you work for now?
Adrian Lynch: AWA (Dale Gagne), NAWF, Great Lakes in Milwaukee, NWA/Music City for Bert Prentice, St. Paul Championship Wrestling for Ed Helier, WrestleAmerica2000 for Ed Sharkey, Ken Patera's All-Star Wrestling Alliance, plus a few others here & there.
Seggal: Do you think you will ever make the big leagues?
Adrian Lynch: I've worked a lot of indys, and having seen what's out there as far as the "next generation", I would say I have as good a chance as anyone, yeah. I think what seperates me from a lot of the guys out there is that I'm a very good talker-that's not just my opinion either. I think sooner or later myself and the guys I run the roads with will end up having an impact on this sport in a major promotion.
Adrian Lynch: Another guy that worked his way up from the bottom, he started out as an announcer for the AWA. A lot of guys tried to turn around WCW before him & he succeeded where they failed.
Seggal: Jim Ross
Adrian Lynch: One of the greatest announcers in recent years & a real sharp guy too, he learned under Bill Watts, who was one of the greatest minds ever.
Seggal: Steve Williams
Adrian Lynch: Has money written all over him if he was used right.
Seggal: Sabu
Adrian Lynch: An innovator for sure, but unfortunately everyone on the indy scene decided they wanted to copy him and the business suffered. The difference between Sabu & his imitatators is that Sabu can wrestle without using furniture whereas the countless imitators are lost without breaking furniture.
Seggal: Mad Man Pondo
Adrian Lynch: Nice guy, I've been on shows with him. Don't know how they guy does what he does.
Seggal: Mitsuharu Misawa
Adrian Lynch: Excellent wrestler, if the American companies were going to bring in any Japanese wrestler he should be at or near the top of the list.
Seggal: What is your opinion of the recant firings of the WWF?
Adrian Lynch: I can see where some trimming was needed, but when you are trying to rebuild the tag division I don't know why you would get rid of 2 solid tag teams, one of whom was a huge draw over the years. Although I believe that some of the firings have not been confirmed yet, so I don't know for sure what to think. When they're off tv for 6 months I'll believe thy're gone
Seggal: Do you have any final comments for your fans?
Adrian Lynch: I very much believe that there is a certain segment of the wrestling fans that are really turned of by what the 2 national companies and ECW are doing right now. There are still wrestlers out there who subscribe to traditional thinking, myself included, that undoubtedly have a chance to showcase themselves for a national audience in the future, when furniture breaking and all that has become a thing of the past. Fact of the matter is that the guys from the Chicago area like myself, Danny Dominion, Ace Steel, and Adam Pearce don't need a barbed wire baseball bat to kick someone's ass. We are wrestlers, and I think that's what the business needs right now, instead of carnival sideshow freaks.
