Poetry By Willow Dancer

"Stone Circles"

In knowing silence you stand alone
monolithic circle of ancient stone,
If eyes could see and you could speak
the answers to mysteries that they seek.

Your mighty walls have crumbled some
but still they wonder, still they come,
to listen close that they may hear
the reasons you were stationed here.

And oh what stories you could tell
of mystic men and magick spells,
of sacrifice and frenzied cries
the age old craft of the wise.

Once we searched for stars in flight
and danced through solstice summer rites,
but now we've gone and left no trace
from our pagan shrine and sacred space.
