circa 1390-1450
The early to mid Renaissance: Just as with the Tudor period, it was easy
to find examples of the costumes of this time from paintings and other references.
I didn't like the first one so I redid it. I think this version is much better.
I especially like the group of cardinals on the left. My first attempt was way off
in the perspective. Their heads were as big in the far background as they were in the
front. I think I corrected it nicely in this one.
I used a number of the same
characters in this one as I did in the first because of their stories. The old wizard-type
guy on the far left foreground just put some powder in the lady's drink, who is standing
behind him summoning the bartender, saying "This wine doesn't taste right."
That's me
on the far right kissing the skinny girl on the neck (I made her a little older looking
in this one). And the old guy talking to the knight in the right foreground. He's offering
the knight a good deal on some land, but he's going to run off with his money.
The
guy with the chimp, he's that woman's landlord. She's saying "I'll do ANYTHING if you
give me one more month on the rent."
The guy above the peacock is telling a bawdy story. The "woman" to the right is a crossdressser
(I made her hand a bit large) and the other woman is rolling her eyes at the stupidity of
the story.
