SUMMER FUN EVENT

Members and guests are welcome as is anyone interested in the Basenji breed. 

What:

The Basenji Fanciers of Greater Phoenix have completed plans for our annual summer event. This is strictly a fun event, so guests are welcome! The activities planned are games for dogs and people, a costume parade (any costume is fine), athletic skills of dogs and people, play agility, informal conformation practice, raffle (see "What to Bring" for details) and prizes. 

When:

It will be held on August 12, Saturday from 4:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

Where:

At the soccer fields at the Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe. The entrance to the soccer fields is between Southern and Broadway on the East Side of 48^th St. It is the entrance to the Buttes Resort and is called Westcourt . Once on that road take the first right turn and just follow it into the parking area. We will most likely have signs up or just look for a group of Basenjis. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The City of Tempe requires that all dogs must be on lead at all times while in the park.

What To Bring:

Everyone will need to bring their own food, utensils, chairs, and umbrellas (just in case). You may want to bring a table as there are very few tables if any at the park. There are no grills available so if you plan to do any grilling bring your own grill. There will be some soft drinks available, but feel free to bring your own beverages. 

There are some raffle items available but if you bring an item for the raffle you will get one free raffle ticket. The raffle item can be a people or dog item.

We feel that the temperature at that time of the day should be comfortable for both people and Basenjis.
